Charming St. George, Utah Main Street Cottage! in St George

Our cottage is located at the top of historical Main Street and within
walking distance to ALL the great attractions located downtown! It is
surrounded by older,
beautiful well kept homes. You can watch the fireworks at the holidays
from the front yard,
and walk to six city parks!

It was built in 1950, but it has been updated extensively inside and
out. We
have tried to keep a vintage, cottage atmosphere throughout. It sits
on a very large lot with HUGE sycamore, mulberry, locust & pecan trees
(they are probably as old as the house, if not more so!) There are
also three pomagranite bushes in the back yard that produce bushels of
sweet fruit in the fall. Inside, to begin, there are granite counters
in the kitchen and all new appliances. It is a small, quaint cottage
kitchen with tons of character (we have not replaced the original
cabinets because they are so charming and well made.) There is a
dining nook attached to the kitchen with a large round dining table
that will seat six comfortably. The laundry room is right off the
kitchen and is very spacious with lots of storage and pantry
cupboards. The living room is right off the kitchen and is very roomy.
The focal point is the old fireplace and mantle (not currently in
use). It has plush carpet and cozy furniture. The large windows look
out onto the front porch and the beautiful yard. The master bedroom is
right off the living room and has a queen size bed with a down
comforter and Egyptian cotton sheets, ample closet space and a
bathroom with a walk in shower. Down the hall from the master bedroom
is the guest room (blue room) and has an antique iron bed that is over
a hundred years old! It is a full size bed with a down comforter and
high quality linens. There are two closets in the blue room, and a
sliding glass door that opens up to the beautiful back yard! In the
middle of the master bedroom and guest room is the full size guest
bath. It has a tub shower combo and a pedestal sink. There are storage
cabinets on either side of the bathroom in the hallway. At the end of
the hallway is the computer niche with high speed access to the
internet. There is an over sized one car detached garage that will be
available for your use. Just so you know, we will be slowly updating
and adding to our cottage, and will keep you updated on all the new
features! If you are looking for a cozy, convenient home to stay in
while you are visiting St. George, we know you will love our Main

You can literally walk to anything downtown! It is at the TOP of Main
Street, so if you are not in great shape, it is a bit of a hike back
up the hill, but even if you have to drive, it is just a minute to
anywhere
you want to go. There are so many city parks and State Parks within
driving
distance, it would take two pages to list, so when you stay at our
home, we have an extensive tourist packet for you that will tell you
all about St. George. Or you can walk to the Chamber of Commerce (two
blocks away) and they have all sorts of information there!
Las Vegas is of course only an hour and a half away
Zion's and Bryce are close by
North Rim of the Grand Canyon is two hours
South Rim is further, but still close
Lake Powell and Lake Mead are a day trip away

Home is rented by the month.
