Harmony at the Split Rock Resort. Located on a quiet street right
across from the lake with lake view and dock just steps away.
2 hours from NYC or Philadelphia. House contains four
bedrooms and two bathrooms and will comfortably sleep 6-15 people.
Perfect for a peaceful weekend getaway or a long family vacation.
Ideal for church retreats or small groups! Must be over 24 years of
age to rent this home.

The house is located on Lake Harmony which is a large lake one of only two in the area that allow motorboats. You can fish and picnic from the private dock, and rent boats from the Split Rock Resort boat rental. The house is located within the Split Rock Resort.Big Boulder and Jack Frost are very near by. 
Come and enjoy the holidays, yearly wine tasting, Celtic
festivals, tobacco festival, blues festival and much more.
Camel Back ski resort/beach is a short traveling distance away. There is a 24 hour super Wall Mart in Mt.Pocono down Rt. 940 20 minutes away.There is a
Brand new 27 hole public golf
course and water park at Split Rock, a mini golf course. There are activities, day care, movie theater, bowing alley, billiards, gift shop, snack bar and restaurant right up the hill in the Galleria Hotel. A few miles away are numerous restaurants and
free nightly entertainment. Split Rock has week-end evening entertainment.
Additional activities/attractions: Boulder Field, Skiing, snow-
tubing, snowmobiling, fishing, Penn's Peak, Jim Thorpe, outlet
stores, paintball and or lazertag, mountain biking, horseback
riding, whitewater rafting, mine tours, a miners villiage, hunting,

We had a great stay during a summer weekend last month in the house with a large group of friends. The owner lady was very sweet and all communication was easy and upfront. We were aware that there were stains on carpet prior to our arrival, however when we were actually there we didn't even notice. Everything was in clean and organized condition when we arrived. We loved the fact that this house was so close to the lake and we could have access to her private deck and canoe at anytime. There were beautiful waterlilies in the lake and we row right through it. If there was one more sunny day during that weekend we could go to the lake beach as well, which was literally 5 minutes walk. When it rained, we all enjoyed sitting on the big comfortable couch and chat. Bottom line is: we weren't expecting 5 star hotel accommodation for this price and we enjoyed our stay. The owner sent our deposit check back within a month which is totally a reasonable time.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, sight seeing

Horrible!!! House needs a lot of work!

This house could be great.... It needs a lot of work! I would not rent this property until the owner changes all the carpets and puts in new bathrooms. The bathrooms are terrible! Carpets are disgusting!

Owners response: I question the validity of this person's review because he/she didn't even sign his/her name, and waited nine months before writing! However, the party that rented New Year's Eve was fully aware of the iron stain in the toilet from the well water, and that new carpet was on order to be installed at a future date. The carpet was clean, but the wear and tear from skiing tenants caused the rug to get worn. The party stayed from Dec. 30-Jan. 2 and said they had a good time so I believe if the house was that distasteful they wouldn't have stayed. Rregardless, CLR removed the stain, and the carpets have been replaced.

Great place to stay in LakeHarmony

We had a great time staying at this house on Lake Harmony in May 2011. We had a large group and there was plenty of room for all of us. The location is great (right on the lake) and the price was very affordable.

I don't know the circumstances of the renter who left a bad review, but we did not have any of these same problems. Everything was in working order and clean enough for our tastes. The carpet has some stains as most of the mountain homes do, but did not have a smell to it and did not affect our enjoyment of the house at all. The woman who owns the house is very nice and was incredibly accommodating. Anything that you may need for your stay that the house does not provide is clearly noted on the contract, so make sure you read it and you will be okay. The homeowner will review everything you need to know when you talk to her on the phone, so talk to her, she is quite friendly.

If you are expecting to stay at The Four Seasons, you may want to look elsewhere (hint: you won't find it in the Poconos). But if you are looking to stay at a no hassle house in a great location for a reasonable price, you will have a great time here.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing
