Vacation Rental Description

The Cottonwood was built around the turn of the century and is  
located in the beautiful heart of the Sleeping Bear National  
Lakeshore. The architecture of the main house recalls an understated  
Victorian Style. With only the windows and porch draped in lacey  
woodwork, the building exhibits a distinguished restraint so  
familiar in farmhouses of the area. The house is spacious with two  
large enclosed porches that create a peaceful experience for guests  
and add to the eclectic spirit of the house. A shady patio and front  
porch provide the perfect place to enjoy cool lemonade on a warm  
afternoon. 
 
We hope you'll join us for a relaxing week away from the office,  
just check our calendar for availability. For those of our guests  
looking for a place to hold special events our barn and grounds are  
available for weddings, anniversaries and reunions. The relaxed  
atmosphere and natural beauty of this place will make you want to

Vacation Rental Amenities

Enjoy your stay at the Cottonwood. Five of our rooms have  
private baths,all are en suite apart from the Roen Room, have Air  
conditioning, Televisions, and for the guests who need to check e- 
mail, wireless internet is available for your use.  
 
The Empire room accommodates two guests. It is a small but quaint  
room that features an antique full size Iron bed.Includes Private  
Bathroom. 
 
The Monarch room accommodates two guests. It features an antique  
Queen Size bed and an orginal stained glass window to bird watch  
from.Includes Private Bathroom. 
 
The Sunset room accomadates two guests. It features an antique Iron  
Queen size bed.Includes Private Bathroom. 
 
The Trillium accomadates four guests. It features an antique Iron  
Queen size bed and a trundle bed perfect for single guests or  
children. Includes Private Bathroom. 
 
The Cottonwood room accomodates four guest. It features antique  
Jenny Lynn Beds. A queen and two twins. Perfect for a family. This  
room is unique in it's size and can accomodate a rollaway if  
needed.Includes Private Bathroom. 
 
The Roen Room accommodates four guests. It features a queen bed and  
two twins.  
 
Other conveniences to make the stay comfortable include: 
- Grill, table and chairs on the patio 
- Fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker,   
pots   and pans, dishes and utensils 
- 6 TV's, 1 VCR/DVD player 
- Washer-Dryer 
- Pillows and blankets are provided; sheets & towels are not provided 
 
This is a non-smoking facility. 
 
Regretably we do not allow pets.

Vacation Rental Rates

Summer rate: June 16 - September 8, 2007  $3000/week 
               
Off-season rates:                          $1800/week 
                  
These rates include taxes 
 
A deposit of 50% of the rental is required to reserve the house 
Payment in full must be received four weeks prior to  
occupancy. Cancellation four weeks or less prior to occupancy is  
subject to forfeiture of the deposit.
