These newly refurbished, updated, non smoking vacation cottage units
are located on the Paseo del Mar Palisades in San Pedro. They are directly on the Pacific Ocean, facing Catalina Island with an 180 degree
unobstructed view from every room!! There are just four cottage units on one acre of property, for plenty of privacy. The ocean may be accessed by paved county pathway about 100 yards from the property. Cabrillo and Royal Palms public beaches are about a 5 minute drive from the property. Not just rentals but quaint cottage homes, these unique,
totally refurbished 1940's ocean front cottages are filled with
charm and history. They are very quiet and private. The bathrooms
and
kitchens have all been updated, with body sprays, waterfalls, double
jacuzzi tub and double showers in the large full bath lower cottage
unit.
While in the cottage, all that you can really hear is the gentle
undulating sounds of the ocean beneath you. The 2-3 bedroom (depending on how much property is rented) cottage
units have several multi-level patios and spa facing the ocean,
perfect
for sunning or dining. Watch whales, dolphins and sea lions playing
in front of you. Watch the boats and cruise ships go by on their way
to Mexico, China, Europe, etc. Numerous majestic pelicans and gulls
fly right by you. Sunsets and sunrises are indescribable. At night,
the moon path glimmers on the ocean before you.
The cottage units are a short walk to both Cabrillo and Royal Palms
beaches, the fishing pier, the Cabrillo Marine Museum and the Korean
Friendship Bell. Other attractions in San Pedro include Ports of
Call Village, with its fresh fish and lobster and year round open
air dining. Mariachi Bands play for tips while you watch the
numerous ships leave port in the channel. The Cruise Ship Terminal,
old fashioned yet totally functional Port Trolly Line, Catalina
Island Ferry, are within minutes of your abode. Lobster and fresh
fish abound in this long time fishing port. Many Europeans have
settled in San Pedro including Italian, Scandinavian and Croation
fisherman, with their respective cultural centers and eateries,
giving the town a unique cultural ambiance. Because of its whaling
past history, San Pedro is often considered A Whale of a Town.
