offer all the
usual water activities, including swimming, surfing, fishing or
boating; The island is the perfect place for walking,
jogging, or riding bikes; The area has golf options galore - some
of the best courses in the US.
Additional activities on the island include miniature golf, shops,
ice cream and the Museum of Coastal Carolina. Just
off the island are many quaint shops, a movie theater, Go Carts, a
variety of dining options, and a winery. If you are looking to
adventure further away from Ocean Isle, it is a short drive to
Myrtle Beach, SC with its amusement parks, outlet malls, theaters,
etc., or historic Wilmington, where you will find the Battleship
North Carolina along with other points of interest.
Choices for restaurant dining include The Isles Restaurant and Tiki
Bar, Cinelli's Italian Restaurant, Sharkey's and The Giggling
Mackeral on the island. Many wonderful choices are just a short
drive away, including Crabby Oddwaters at Sunset Beach and Crab
Catchers of Little River. You can also find a variety of restaurants
specializing in ethnic food, including Mexican, Japanese, and
Chinese. The Sugar Shack is a local favorite -- an outstanding
choice for wonderful Jamaican cuisine and great friendly service.
