Oak Grove Family Cabin is a 3BR/2BA house with close to 2,000 square feet of living space
on approximately an acre of land. It is located in the exclusive area of Pine Hills 4 miles
from the historic town of Julian in Northern San Diego. You will find virtually everything
you need for you and your family to enjoy a peaceful getaway in a private location--
including forced heating and air conditioning, 2 TVs, Dish Network, and a large full
kitchen.  We have even installed rope swings for the kids to have fun. 

We are the only cabin in the area that is designed with kids and pets in mind. From our
dedicated kids room to our fencing on two levels, we have taken care to provide extra
safety features and activities to keep kids occupied while allowing parents to relax.

Safety precautions include: fencing to prevent kids from sticking limb through balcony
rails, gate from wrap-around deck to main property, fence around main property, outlet
covers throughout, night lights throughout, flashlights and med kit in kitchen.

Kid items include: kids plates/utensils, dedicated kids room with toys, toys, toys, full
video library in their room as well as a TV/VCR unit, train table, kid seating in kid room
and living room, diaper pail, Pack N Play, high chair attachment, bath seat, bath toys, and
more.

A semi-private road leads you to a private driveway that can hold 6 cars.

The first floor bedroom & bathroom is the perfect place for an additional couple or
relatives and boasts a huge corner wood-burning fireplace. TV with Dish Network and a
VCR and movie library are also in this private room with a separate entrance from the
downstairs patio.

The second floor has a large living room with sofa-bed and loveseat, stone floor to ceiling
corner fireplace, dining room for 12, and a full kitchen. A special closet holds
dog essentials (dog bowls, towels, baggies).

Bedrooms include a Master with a Cal King Bed that faces the other sliding door to the
balcony deck, and a kids' room with trundle that pulls out to another King. Toys,
including a train table, and videos/movies are stocked as well as their own private TV/
VCR---plenty of activities to keep the kids occupied (TV in kid's room is not
connected to satellite).

Enjoy beautiful sunsets through majestic trees from our 8-ft living room slider and
picture window or the balcony and deck. Home to the wild turkeys
and deer, our water trough gives you front row seating to morning and afternoon
migrations from this same vantage point.

Deck wraps around to the front area where we have another table and deck area off the
kitchen. Deck has a separate gate to keep kids and dogs in.

A few hundred feet up the main road is a spectacular view of the ocean from Mexico to
Catalina!

Just minutes away are daytime adventures for you and your family including a Gold Mine
Tour, fishing, horse-back riding, wine-tasting, and a stroll through downtown Julian for
shopping and a slice of world-famous apple pie.

ON-SITE: View wild turkeys and deer from the living room or deck. Use our snow disks in
Winter for sledding.

Take a walk up the trail, jog up Oak Grove Ave to the clearing at the top of the mountain
and see the ocean view through the mountain vista.

Keep the kids happy with our many games, toys, vidoes, and DVD's.

OFF-SITE: Just minutes from Julian, a wide array of activities and shopping await you.
Visit Dudley's famous bakery in Santa Ysabel and stop by the new casino/resort.
Go fishing in Cuyamaca Lake!

House sleeps max of 6 adults including children 12 and over. House is really suited for 4 adults and
children with one room downstairs with its own bathroom.

One of two rooms upstairs is specifically designed for kids and as such has day bed not suited for
the weight of adults desiring a comfy fluffy bed.
