Hummingbird Hill is a 2-bedroom, 2-bath chalet style cabin situated
on 1 1/2 acres of beautiful land in Murphy, North Carolina. It
comfortably sleeps up to 6 people and will truly make your stay in
the mountains unforgettable.

OK, so now you've looked at about 100 cabins, why should you choose mine?  Here's why.

You want to be sure you're renting directly from an owner.  You get a nicer, better-maintained cabin that way.  This is my personal second home.  I take pride in it.  This is exactly the cabin you'd get.

I believe this cabin is one of the few with free high-speed wireless internet.

It really is in a great location.  Access is easy, road is great all the way to my driveway, the area is great, and it's not too far out of town.  Some cabins are really far out and a long drive to anywhere!

I make renting very easy.  I can take any form of payment and you'll have everything you need for check-in sent to you before you leave home.  Then after your check-out your deposit will be refunded promptly provided there is no damage.

I have a wonderful lady in the area who can handle any problem that might come up during your stay since I live in Florida.  She's terrific.

I have many wonderful reviews either online or in the guestbook in the cabin.  I've never had an unhappy renter.  You will not be either.

We now have free, wireless, high-speed internet. 

This cabin is surrounded by nature. The trees are beautiful and it's fun to sit on the deck and watch the birds come to eat. There's a big open deck, plus one that's partially covered for inclement weather. Two big rockers are on the covered porch for your relaxation. There's a charcoal BBQ grill and patio table and chairs for your cookouts.

The house has a downstairs bedroom with queen-size bed and a loft
bedroom with a queen-size bed and a daybed with a pop-up trundle, so
there's comfortable sleeping for up to 6 people without an
uncomfortable sofa-bed. There are full bathrooms upstairs and
downstairs.

There's a cozy, warm gas fireplace, TVs in the living room and both
bedrooms, and a DVD player.

The kitchen is fully equipped. There's a washer and dryer. All
linens are provided

The beauty of Murphy NC is that it's still a quaint, little town.
There are little shops in the downtown area that are fun to explore
and two big flea markets. There are some great restaurants also.

Murphy is about half-way between the Ocoee rafting area and the
Nantahala rafting area - so take your pick. There are several
rivers and lakes for fishing, boating, and picnicking.

Many sightseeing places are just a short drive and make wonderful
day-trips. You can visit Helen GA, Asheville NC, Cherokee NC,
Gatlinburg TN, Bryson City NC and more in just an hour or two. Then
return to the comfort of the quiet cabin. Take a ride on the Great
Smoky Mountain Railroad out of Bryson City. Hike in Joyce Kilmer
Memorial Forest. Visit numerous waterfalls, hiking trails, and gem
mining attractions. Even Six Flags Atlanta could be a day-trip.

Reservation/Security deposit is $100 and will be refunded after your stay provided there is no damage.
