 Taking reservations for 2012

This charming beach cottage is located at Oak Beach, directly accross
from Democrat Point (Western Tip) of Fire Island (It is not on Fire
Island but looks at Fire Island)  10 miles east of Gilgo Beach and
just west of Captree State Park. Enjoy panaromic views from this
cottage of the Fire Island Inlet and the western tip of Fire Island.
Use the oversized deck to enjoy the views of Robert Moses Bridge,
Fire Island, boats, sun and sunsets. A bunk house, perfect for your
youngster(s). Sandy beach and warm shallow waters, fishing, kayaking,
sailing, boating (a mooring is available for a 18 ft boat or
smaller). This is a wonderful vacation place for children or adults
who want to just get away from it all. Totally car accessible, with
shopping 15 minutes away. It is the cottage used in Kyra Sedgwick's and Kevin Bacon's movie "Loverboy"

BBQ grill, outside hot shower, microwave, blender,
toaster, coffemaker, dishes/utnesils, cable TV, oversized deck, bunk
house for 2. The one bedroom has a queen bed,  and
a trundle bed is in the common area. Bunk house with electricity has a bunk bed. Beach chairs and toys, sheets and towels included.

activities and attractions in Fire Island Long Island

Oak Beach offers, beaching, boating, biking, and fishing. Fire
Island lighhouse is a short drive over the Robert Moses State Park
Bridge, Jones Beach, Captree State Park, Robert Moses State Park are
all nerby. Babylon Village is wonderful for dining and shopping.
NYC is a 40 minute train ride away.

Absolute Paradise

My teenage daughter and I loved our week here. The views from the house were magnificent and the beach was clean and quiet. The house was small but well laid out to accommodate lots of sleeping space. With the huge deck (complete with lounge chairs, dining table, grill) and the beach right there - who needs a lot of indoor space? This is the perfect place to rest, relax, enjoy the beach and catch up on all your summer reading!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway
