Description of Area:
This house is near the larger town of Sintra, as well as the
villages of Colares and Almocageme where there are restaurants and
stores. There is also a wonderful fruit and vegetable market on the
road nearby on weekends and holidays. Cheese and bread and flowers,
too. Up from the house on foot a small village store for food and
wine.

Description of Home:
This Portuguese vacation home is walking distance to the beach and
close to public transportation. The recently restored 300 year old
house is situated on a ridge with long views of the sea. Up to now,
it has been an artist residency to over 40 artists, who at times
have left a piece of themselves in tiled walls, iron works and
mosaic pieces, adding to the charm of the house. This quiet haven is
about 18 miles west of Lisbon and its environs. The coast and many
other points of interest are easily reached by local transportation.

Amenities: Fireplace, phone, sitting/wading pool with jets, Cable
TV, CD and cassette player, full kitchen, cooking utensils and
linens provided, washer. Good on-site parking. Property is fenced.

TO INCREASE OCCUPANCY FROM 6 to 8 PEOPLE, AN ADDITIONAL AND SEPARATE
APARTMENT can be added for $350 per week. It has a double bed, a
bath, fireplace and a club kitchen. It is not rented separately to preserve privacy.
Rental week is normally Saturday-to-Saturday.
Pets not allowed.

Activities: Hiking, biking, swimming, golfing & horseback riding are
available in the area.

Christmas and New Year's weeks $1600 for 3 bedrooms or 6 peope.
Rest of December, January and February $1100/week $3200/month
March and November $1300/week $4400/month
April through October $1600/week $4800/month
For the additional apartamentinho, it is an additional $350, bringing the maximum number
of peple to 8, 6 for the 3 bedrooms
