Vacation Rental Description

This is a very charming and spacious 2 bedroom beach cottage with attached 4 bedroom apartment. It  
has a large, inviting "country" kitchen, private patio area for outside dining, separate dining  
room, large living room, and both bedrooms are quite roomy. 
 
The house was built in the 1920's and has the appeal of the Craftsman era of design - high ceilings,  
wide door and window trims, hardwood floors, picture rail detail - and it has been refurbished to  
bring it up to date with modern "low E" appliances, designer tile work, granite, and even hot water  
recirc. Colors have been carefully chosen to create a fresh, relaxing environment. 
 
All linens and incidentals are provided and the kitchen is amply stocked with dishes, pots, pans and  
utensils so that you can take advantage of the wonderful kitchen for entertaining. 
 
The location is ideal... half way between the pier and the harbor, an easy and lovely walk to  
either, and just a few blocks from downtown too, enjoy theaters, dining, shopping, museums, all  
without getting in your car.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Beach chairs, beach towels, sand toys, games, a bike (on request), boogey boards. 
 
"Kid friendly" amenities - Play 'n Pak, high chair, toys, books, stroller. 
 
Private patio with gas BBQ. A garage may be available on request.

Activities and Attractions

Surfing, biking, skateboarding, swimming, hiking, picnic/bbq at the beach. 
 
At the harbor you will find opportunities for sunset cruises, brunch cruises, harbor sight-seeing  
cruises, fishing trips, kayaking and more. You will also find great places to eat and fun places to  
shop. 
 
Within easy driving distance is the Wild Animal Park, Legoland, Sea World, San Diego Zoo,  
Disneyland, Knottsberry Farm, Universal City, Hollywood... 
 
If you like art and museums you will want to visit Balboa Park with the over ten museums and the  
Spanish Village. You will also want to make a trip north to Laguna to visit the many, many fine  
galleries, visit the Sawdust Festival, see the Pagent of the Masters. 
 
If you like missions the beautiful, historic San Luis Rey Mission is just a 5 mile drive. You are  
also within an easy drive from the San Diego Mission, and the Mission at San Juan Capistrano (the  
famous swallows). The are also numerous historic "haciendas" and ranches that 
you will want to visit.

There are 4 units on the property - 2 studios, 1 two bedroom apartment 
and the "Cottage".

There is a two night minimum stay for the Cottage and Apartment, the
