and unique pocket slider windows the two houses on the estate

offer the vacationer a chance to step back in time and

experience the charm and kick-your-shoes-off environment of

days gone by.
Both houses also have the modern conveniences of air conditioning,
cable and wireless internet.

shadows and light which you experience throughout the

Shadow Point was built in 1917 by a ship captain and later bought by Chicago Industrialist, Frank Sweeting, for his fishing friends. After his daughter and son-in-law, Lelia & Marvin Adams, inherited the property, Adams spearheaded the design and construction of the nearby canal that links the bay side with the ocean side of Key Largo. 
Named for the beautiful changing shadows and light that filter through the tropical hardwood hammock, Shadow Point is located on Key Largo Sound, the ocean side of Key Largo . Today, this estate offers the same relaxed atmosphere and seclusion of an earlier era. The 2.5 acre point is filled with lush tropical trees including Buttonwood, Gumbo Limbo. Lignum Vitae, and Key Lime. With a 260 degree view of pristine Key Largo Sound, Shadow Point is an exclusive retreat for those desiring an intimate and private setting.

Departing from our docks you can enjoy back country, bay side, creek and offshore fishing with tarpon, bonefish, grouper, dolphin and sailfish.
If you prefer, visit the many sights within
the Key Largo Sanctuary and dive some of the most spectacular
living coral reefs remaining in the U.S.
You can visit John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park right down the road
with boats available for fishing and snorkeling.

Bring your own boat and dock it at our deep water dock with
electric and water.

Best of all you can do nothing but relax on over two and a half fenced in acres
and enjoy viewing our resident great white heron, porposises swimming by our beautiful white beach at the edge of the property and viewing manatees swimming up to the dock. Nature and solitude at its best.



The main house has four large bedrooms. Two of the rooms

have king size beds and and private baths. The othe two

have 2 twin beds and private sinks.

The large kitchen is user friendly and perfect for viewing the
lovely trees and the water while sipping coffee.
The dining table can seat fourteen for great family gatherings.
A large breezy porch with hammock and two daybeds
runs the length of the house wihich  
 has a panoramic view of the water.

The cottage has two bedrooms that each contain two twin beds, and
there is a queen pull out couch in the livingroom.

There is a small kitchen with a stand alone freezer and lovely
porch with a panoramic view of the water.

This vacation rental is perfect for boaters, kayakers, canoeers,
divers, and fishermen along with
being large enough for family retreats, workshops, weddings, and film shoots.

We prefer to rent the cottage with the large house so you can

experience total privacy and seclusion.
It is aproximately one hour from Miami International Airport,

and located around mile marker 103.

There are many fun and unique shops to visit, and you can always
plan a trip to Key West for the day and cross the famous Seven Mile
Bridge.

Rent for both houses for a week is $6500. This includes cleaning of $300 and $12.5% taxes.

 It is $1000 a night after the initial 7 nights. 

Both the cottage and the main house are included in the price. The cottage with 2 bedrooms does not rent separately. The price includes taxes of 12.5% and $300 cleaning. On special high season months and holidays we rent for $500+ more. There is a wedding and party charge for out door clean-up. Please understand we don't rent for less than a week. Please do not ask for anything less than a week.

Monthly rentals are $20,000 depending on season.

There is a $100 charge per week for each person exceeding 12.

No more than 16 are allowed.

$1500 security deposit.

Two fully stocked houses, a private beach, and garden, and 3 docks on 2.5 acres, plus 6 kayaks and two paddle boards. Can't beat the price for what you receive.
