Jenkins Chalet Spectacular View-Sierras-Bear Valley Ski in Arnold

The Jenkins Chalet is large gambrel cabin outside of Big Trees State
Park, with spectacular views. The Jenkins Chalet is located in Big
Trees Village about 4 miles east of Arnold, at 5,000 foot elevation.
Bear Vally Ski Resort is about 20 minutes further up Hwy 4.

This is a very open and spacious home, with 2400 square feet of
space,has excellent floor plan. The Chalet is completely knotty-pine
walls and ceilings,with circular free standing wood-burning fireplace
in the center of this Chalet.



The chalet has a level circular driveway for eazy access and safe
access to the outdoor activities including water sking on nearby New
Melones Lake. to Bear Valley and beautiful Lake Alpine-where fishing
and canoeing are a option and Big Trees Recreation Center, where
adults and children can enjoy a variety of activities:swimming,
tennis,and pinic opportunities. Winter Activities: Bear Valley
provides a resort with 25 miles of runs for everyone and great cross
country sking. The master bedroom is located on the main
floor.Upstars are two bedrooms and a loft.

The Full Kitchen incudes a Microwave,Refrigerator, Cooking
Untensils,and Pots and Pans. There is a kitchen table which seats six
in the kitchen area and a dinning table that seats eight.

Master Bedroom and Bathroom
The bedroom has a king size bed. The bathroom has tub and shower.
A television with cable TV programs with HBO.

Loft
Cable TV is available to watch and a good range of books to read.

Linens and Towels
Please bring your own linens and paper goods {toilet paper and
towels. We supply pillows and blankets. You need to bring your own
sheets, pillowcases and towels. We have one king one queen and two
twins and a queen pullout.

A propane gas barbeque is available for cooking on outside deck that
provides private al fresco dining among the giant redwood and
sequoias with a clear 18 mile view of pure beauty. The cabin is at
5000 feet elevation and provides a perfect locate for evening
constellation viewing.

For dining, Arnold offers a variety of restaurants. Murphys is a
quaint town with fine dining and Angels Camp has Golf Club and movie
theatre.

Winter Activities: Bear Valley Ski Resort provides 25 miles for
everyone from beginner to expert with 11 chairs. Bear Valley receives
over 400 inches of snow a year. Endless cross-country, sking trails,
ice skating and a playhill for the kids.

Summer Activities: A variety of boating activities, incuding jet
sking on the nearby New Melones Lake. Numerous walking and hiking
trails in the proximity of the aera of Bear Valley. Beautiful Lakes,
Alpine and Mosquito-where fishing and canoeing are fum, on a summer
day. The Stanislaus River provides excellent rafting and kayaking
opportunities. As member of the Big Trees Recreation Center adults
and children can enjoy activities such as swimming, tennis
basketball,picnic and outdoor movies.

Year Round Scenery: Along the highway that climbs from the Foothills
are enough attractions in Angles Camp and Murphys, where the 49"s
scratched and howled Calaveras Big Trees State Park, it cathedral
groves of sequoias nearby along lake shores and river banks. Bear
Valley has a famous annual music festival and hundreds of miles of
country hiking trails.
