Vacation Rental Description

There aren't many locations like this anymore. With direct ocean
frontage off the large front balcony, and great ocean and poolside
views off the guest room balcony, our second floor 1,300 sq ft condo
at the Costa Bonita resort is somewhat unique.  The main balcony faces
west over the beach and Pacific ocean, with access from both 
the master bedroom and the living room; the second balcony is off 
the guest bedroom, overlooks the pool and beach and has a built-in
barbeque. Being on the 2nd floor (with access to private stairs that
lead to the pool and deck), you avoid passers-by looking in, yet enjoy
the benefits of almost beach-side access.

Many resorts offer ocean views and access, but often the units are set
well back from the water and you end up hearing more pool-side chatter
than ocean lapping on the beach.  Other resorts are high-rises, where
the views are great but you usually need to take an elevator to the
main lobby and then walk through the foyer and past the pool to get to
the beach. At our condo in Costa Bonita, you have the serenity of the
ocean without the distractions.  For pictures and full information,

The unit comes fully furnished with a Queen bed in the master bedroom 
and two twin beds in the guest bedroom.  Both bedrooms have full ensuite
bathrooms with large, walk-in closets. As well, the kitchen features a
full- size fridge, oven/stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, blender,
toaster, microwave and garborator. Utensils and place settings for 8
are provided. The living room features a 42" flat-screen Plasma TV,
with a 29" second TV in the master bedroom. There are a number of 
English speaking stations on the cable network. Equipped with central
air-conditioning, the unit has both hard-wired internet and on-site
WiFi capability.

Your days can include walks along the 3+ miles of sandy beach that
Costa Bonita faces, or swim in the ocean, which laps just below the
front of your deck.  In the evening, nothing beats just sitting on the
balcony and watching the sun set over the ocean horizon. With a full, 
unobstructed view of the western sky, you will never miss a sunset, 
regardless of the season.  

Being on the ocean, Mazatlan enjoys a warm to mild climate year 'round. 
Average daily temperatures in Winter are around 75F; moving to 85F in
Summer. You don't get the extreme heat or cold that you might find inland.

A fifteen minute walk up the beach and you are at Playa Bruja, a
favorite spot for surfers, along with Mr. Lionso's open-air restaurant
where a great seafood dinner can be had for a very reasonable cost. If
you aren't into beach walks, then two on-site restaurants are there
for your convenience.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Costa Bonita Resort is 30 minutes by taxi from  Mazatlan's airport and
only 10 minutes by car, commuter bus or taxi from Mazatlan's famous 
Golden Zone, with its hundreds of restaurants, bars, and shops. The 
local buses cost about 45 cents per ride and two routes pass right by
the resort on a Mexican 'scheduled' basis.  The resort is at the north
end of what is arguably one of Mazatlan's nicest beaches, about 2 miles 
from the tourist-oriented 'Golden Zone'. 

Costa Bonita offers full resort amenities in an upscale, yet intimate,
environment. There is an on-site lobby concierge service, gift shop,
mini-market, internet access, restaurants, bar, jacuzzi, beach snack
bar and of course a large, warm pool which is suitable for all ages.

Activities and Attractions

If you are looking for active options, the resort has on-site 
tennis, a fully equipped gym and sauna (for a small fee), 
volleyball, beach palapas, a children's playground and fish cleaning 
facilities. Deep sea fishing charters and tours are available at the 
marina, located 5 minutes drive from the resort.  Golf is not far
away, either.

Vacation Rental Rates

Weekly rates run from $750 low season to $1,000 for high season. 
Monthly rates run from $2,400 low season to $3,000 high season.

Minimum stay is one week, but long term and multi-month rental 
options are also available.
