vacation rental description
This stunning contemporary mountain retreat overlooks 22 acres of
private pine/scrub oak forest (3 acres fenced for horses) and
boarders 1500 acres of BLM land only 15 minutes from Durango. This
2750 sq foot house with 3 bedrooms, two and one half baths, game
room, and a 2-car garage this
luxury home comfortably sleeps 8 people. Complete with a 50-inch TV
with satellite, billiard table, wet bar, hot tub with incredible
views, inside/outside sound system, slate fireplace, and steam
shower. Experience privacy and relaxation, plus explore the
beautiful surroundings on horse, bike, or foot.
The living room, kitchen, and dining area are located on the main
level. Just off the kitchen is a large laundry room with storage,
through which the garage can be accessed. On the other side of the
kitchen is a door leading outside to the deck and hot tub.
Conveniently outside the door is a heavy-duty gas grill with direct
line hookup. A small half bath is just off the hall leading from
the dining area to the master suite. This private suite has a king
size bed, seating area, mountain views, TV, spacious changing and
vanity area with sink, and steam shower.
Right at the top of the stairs is the large game room with billiard
table, wet bar, and TV. One of the couches in the game room has a
pull-out bed. The loft/office area is open to the living room
below. Just off the loft is the smaller bedroom with a queen size
bed. There is a full bath with a tub shower down the hall leading
to the third bedroom. This larger bedroom with a queen size bed
also has a TV and mountain views.
4 wheel drive necessary in the winter.

Durango Mountain Resort:
The resort offers skiing and snowboarding as well as snow tubing in
the afternoons. ?Mountain Transport? provides shuttle service from
Durango to the resort area. There are four shuttles in the morning
to the resort area and four in the afternoon/evening returning to
town.
Summer at Durango Mountain Resort offers a wide variety of
activities including fly fishing, golf, horseback riding, mountain
biking, 4X4 jeep tours, scenic chairlift rides, and the Alpine
Slide, a mountain 'bobsled' ride. The Purgatory Village Festival
Tent is home to summer events, featuring everything from classical
and Celtic music to blues and brewers' festivals.
Durango Community Recreation Center:
There is an indoor pool with lap lanes; a hot tub; a vortex
pool; ?lazy river? pool; kids area; outdoor ?splash pad? (summer
only); 2 racquetball courts; a climbing wall; a full fitness center;
an indoor track; a gymnasium; conference rooms; pool and ping-pong
tables; and a small coffee shop.
Trimble Hot Springs:
There is an olympic-size swimming pool and 2 soaking pools. Also,
there is a spa offering herbal oil wraps; radiant
glow; herbal and honey face treatments; hot oil scalp treatment; dry
body brush; and parafango mud wraps.
