Welcome to 199 The Greens, where you will enjoy “Greens” living at its finest! Redesigned and remodeled throughout, our villa is the ideal gateway to a fabulous holiday retreat on Hilton Head Island. Whether your perfect vacation includes making sandcastles or taking morning walks or sunset strolls on a white sandy beach, swimming and frolicking in the Atlantic, golfing at Shipyard's 27 holes, playing tennis at a world-class facility, relaxing at the pristine Greens' private pool, or doing nothing...experience a piece of paradise just steps from our door, located within the beauty and serenity of a gated beach community.

As seasoned vacation property owners since 1980, we know what guests need and expect so they can enjoy a worry-free vacation. Providing quality, cleanliness, and comfort are important to us, and to that end we offer our guests an updated, well maintained, thoughtfully decorated and appointed “home away from home”.  Our home has undergone a complete top to bottom remodel featuring all bathrooms with new fixtures, tile, vanities, and granite countertops, a lovely kitchen with all new large and small appliances, three flat panel TV's, fresh paint throughout, and updated furnishings. Aside from the departure cleaning, twice a year all hard and soft surfaces are steam cleaned, walls and surrounds washed, and each item, large and small, inspected and, if need be, repaired or replaced. As an added assurance, our guests have the support of a contact on the island 24/7 should an unforeseen occasion arise.

As soon as you open the door, the pride we take in our home will be apparent. Dramatically redesigned, the first floor features a bright and open kitchen. The walls have been removed, eliminating the galley kitchen and creating a custom design, new to The Greens.  This has been enhanced with an island and complemented by new cabinets, appliances, and granite countertops. An adjoining breakfast nook with slider welcomes the morning sun. 

The open floor plan flows nicely from the kitchen into the great room with a dining table and seating for six, which coordinates with a queen sleep sofa and matching love seat, recliner, and additional seating. Double sliders open to the deck and golf course just beyond to make this area bright and scenic. This floor also features an attractive, fully renovated half-bath. A new porcelain tile floor accentuates the aesthetics throughout this level.

The second floor has two decorator enhanced bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom. New in 2012, the master bathroom features a distinctive, Travertine tiled, glass-enclosed walk-in shower, while the guest bathroom features a traditional bath enhanced with complementary Italian
porcelain tile. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, oversized chair, walk-in closet, flat screen TV and DVD, while the guestroom has twin beds, double closets, flat screen TV and DVD. Located on the same level is the laundry area with full size washer and dryer.

The deck overlooks the 7th tee at Shipyard Golf and the scenic, paved walking/jogging/biking path which winds through miles of lush terrain. Just steps to the pool, minutes from the ocean, and across from the Van der Meer Tennis Resort (we provide one hour of free tennis daily), our villa is
perfectly situated within The Greens and within Shipyard.

Bike rental discount available for our guests...Island contact available 24/7...For your entertainment, a 32" flat panel, cable TV with DVD/VCR in the living room,
radio/CD player in the kitchen, and numerous books, games, VHS tapes, and DVD's are provided.
Additionally, our unit comes fully equipped with high speed wireless internet, A/C, refrigerator with ice maker, ceramic smooth-top range, dishwasher, microwave, iron and ironing board, hair dryers, beach chairs, and (manual) beach buggy for transporting beach items....Shipyard Plantation is a scenic, gated community with 24-hour security and newly renovated beach club. The Greens has its own private, gated on-site pool.

No pets/no smoking, please. Additionally, we do not rent to groups under age 25 unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.

On-site/nearby activities include: biking (miles of lush, shaded bike/jogging paths), golf, tennis,
fishing, horseback riding, boating, waterskiing, surfing, parasailing, jetskiing, shelling,
restaurants, shopping....or just checking out the alligators sunbathing! Enjoy day trips to
Beaufort, Savannah, or Charleston. Imagine yourself in paradise!
Area: Shipyard is 60 minutes from Savannah (Airport). For all island activities it is an ideal
location with convenient gate access to both Highway 278 and Pope Ave.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How far is your villa from the beach? Our villa is two-tenths of a mile from the beach, a
leisurely 5-minute walk.
2. Do you have High Speed Internet? Yes, High Speed internet is wireless and provided through a broadband (cable) connection.
3. Do you have a barbeque grill? Yes, we provide a charcoal grill.
4. What is the maximum number of people your villa will accommodate? All our accommodations are planned for a maximum of 6 guests, including young children.
5. What is your cancellation policy? There is a fee of $50 for cancelling a reservation.
6. If we are interested in renting this villa, how do we make payment, get car passes, and obtain
access to the villa? A 50% deposit is required within 14 days of confirming the reservation,
along with a signed contract. The payment balance is due by the date identified on the contract. Car and tennis passes, as well as keys, are handled through a local contact on Hilton Head.

7/29/2006 Chris and I were extremely impressed with how lovely and well-equipped your villa was. We have stayed on the island a half dozen times and have never been fortunate enough to find a place that was so clean and thoughtfully maintained. I doubt that many other people would put this much effort into making visitors comfortable. I must tell you that we went (to Hilton Head) with two other families who also stayed in the Greens, and both agreed that we had the nicest accommodations. 6/5/2009   For many years we have rented properties at various addresses in Shipyard Plantation on Hilton Head. For the last few years we have stayed at 199 The Greens. Van der Meer Tennis Center is less than a hundred yards from the front door and the beach is only a short walk. Steve and Ann, you obviously take pride in keeping the unit in top shape, and the furnishings and the décor are attractive and confortable. The recently renovated kitchen makes entertaining a breeze, and the large LCD flat screen TV is great for watching tennis or movies. Whether we sit around with friends in the living area, or relax on the deck watching golfers hit a tee shot, there is always an atmosphere of warmth and tranquility that is refreshing.
