Beautiful and relaxing

This is a charming little house in the small town of Puerto Morelos. The house is only about 2 blocks back from the beach -- an easy stroll through shaded streets. We spent most of our time lying in one of the house hammocks or enjoying the beach and mangrove preserve. The house has comfortable beds, hot shower/bath and stayed cool with the beautiful breezes that blew day and night. The kitchen is well equipped for making meals, or you can take a 10 minute walk to the many restaurants, cafes, and small stores around the main plaza. Although most of the "Mayan Riviera" is being overbuilt with high rises and resorts, this town remains clean, walkable, and friendly to tourists without being touristy. We shopped in the local stores and weekly fresh market, or took a taxi across the highway to the locals' fruit market. Local car rental was affordable and we traveled to the Chichen Itza and Valladolid area easily. If you want to relax in a beautiful spot, this is a very enjoyable stay!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, pet-friendly, tourists without a car

Casa Musa: Nice place to stay

Casa Musa is very spacious, the perfect place to stay for families with children or couples. One can reach the beach with only a few steps and shopping possibilities are also near by. The property is very nice decorated, clean and well-maintained. It provides all of the amenities for 1 week or longer. It is definitely much more comfortable than staying in one of the dozen resorts in the Riviera Maya and it shows you perfectly the Mexican flair.
Even though we only stayed one week at Casa Musa, the customer service was very good.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Wonderful vacation home!

We stayed at Casa Musa for our family vacation this year. It was my husband and I, my parents, and my brother with his girlfriend. Beautiful, very spacious. 2 large balconies, one overlooking the street, and the other overlooking the mangroves. Plenty of sleeping space. When we were there they had 3 queen beds in one BR, and 2 queen beds in the other, which makes it perfect for families. There was also 2 comfortable cots in the living room. A large bathtub in the upstairs bath, and a spacious shower downstairs. It provides all of the amenities for 1 week or longer. A short walk to downtown Puerto Morelos. Very close to the beach, and lots of great restaurants. It made our family vacation perfect! It is definitely preferable to staying at one of the dime-a-dozen resorts in the Riviera Maya.

Owners response: Just to clarify, there are two Queen beds, one in each bedroom. Then the front BR also has one full (double) bed, and the back BR has two full beds. The downstairs cots are twin size beds, quite comfortable.
