and spots of interest, the street itself is totally quiet, with art  
galleries and vintage shops, 2 mins walk-away from the Marche Lepic  
open-air famous market place, bus and Metro. Very SAFE. A village

Montmartre, the artistic place of Paris, a 'village' more than a  
district, with a rich history of ancient typical Parisian buildings  
in tiny cobble stoned streets. Around the corner, you will discover  
Picasso's Studio and living Quarters 'le Bateau Lavoir', Renoir's  
home 'Le Chateau des Brouillards' or the 'Place du Tertre' with it's  
permanent and amazing art exhibition on the square - watch artists  
painting in front of you. Vincent Van Gogh, Dali, Degas, Utrillo,  
and many other famous artists used to live and work here. The  
Windmills, the Montmartre Vineyard and the Market of Lepic-Abbesses  
are few blocks away... The area is central In fact, with over 10  
millions of visitors per year, it is A Center in Paris. Being on a  
steep hill, it is perfectly insulated from the nightly 'activities'  
of border districts and Boulevards. The place is remarkably quiet  
and safe, yet surrounded with restaurants, shops to discover, etc..
