Sea Star: An Enchanting Seaside Estate in Captiva Island

SeaStar, the perfect island getaway, awaits you on the pristine,
white sands of beautiful Captiva Island . The main home and
attached pool have breathtaking views of the Gulf of
Mexico, “captivating” sunsets, and a private pathway to the nearly
secluded beach. SeaStar features an open floor plan with a sunny,
pastel décor and 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms that sleep up to 8
guests.

The perfect addition to the main home is the 3 bedroom and 2 bath
guest house that sleeps an additional six guests and is located
separately on the estate grounds. Total occupancy is 14 guests in
true comfort.

A recent letter from a guest:

“I cannot resist writing to you about our recent vacation @ the
beautiful Sea Star (3/25- 4/1). This vacation was by far and away
our best family vacation ever. The SeaStar is a one of a kind home,
thoughtfully decorated, comfortable and inviting. If I am mistaken
on this point, please do not burst my bubble and tell me otherwise,
but it is obvious that the owner has invested a great deal of her
own time and efforts as evidenced by the many personal touches
throughout the home. How unique and delightful! This is more than a
vacation rental - this is a real Beach House. Of course, the beach
is unparalleled and Captiva is fabulous, but it was the tiny,
thoughtful details of the Sea Star that captured our hearts. My
younger children loved the fish room and most especially the
children's books (the Wizard of Oz was a favorite). My teenager
taught the little ones how to fish and even caught a trout right off
the beach! There is something for everyone @ the Sea Star. Please
let the owner know how much we enjoyed her enchanting home and

Located on the “Gold Coast” of Captiva Island’s estate zone,
Sea Star offers the classic private estate experience for a weekly
or monthly island beach vacation. Enter the grounds on the winding
drive, past the guest house and lush gardens, and see the main house
appear in front of you, just steps from the serene beach that awaits
your arrival.

SeaStar’s main house grand entrance welcomes you to a large, open
living room and dining room with a direct view of the Gulf of Mexico
through an entire wall of sliding glass doors. The large screened
lanai houses a heated pool and is located on the same level as the
living area, offering a comfortable indoor/outdoor lifestyle perfect
for the warm Florida days and nights. The décor is beautifully
appointed in colorful pastels and comfortable Caribbean Island
casual style. You will know you’re on a very special vacation at
SeaStar.

The left side of the house offers the spacious front guest bed room
with a queen bed and private bath. The elegant master bedroom has a
dramatic Gulf view and offers a 4 poster king size bed, private
entrance to the pool area and a beautiful, spacious master bath.

The right side of the house features the front “fish bedroom”,
wonderfully decorated in the proper style with 2 twin beds and a
private bath. The 4th “surf’s up” bedroom has a queen bed, and
again, its own private bath.

The fully equipped kitchen is open and adjacent to the dining and
living areas providing a large gathering spot for the 8 guests in
the main house and the additional 6 guests from the optional guest
house. The kitchen’s separate sliding glass door makes poolside
dining a breeze. Next to the kitchen, with another Gulf view, the
large laundry room, additional refrigerator, private work/project
area and separate beach entrance provide the perfect “clean up” or
private office space.

The guest home is a charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath house decorated in
lively, island colors. There is a large twin bedroom on the main
floor along with a bath, laundry room, full kitchen, living room,
and a bright, cheery sunroom that almost brings the outside gardens
into the house. The second floor has 2 bedrooms, one with queen bed
and a large master with a king size bed. A spacious, full bath is
shared by these two bedrooms.

The guest house can be added so that you will occupy the full
estate, but it will not be rented to anyone else should you prefer
to stay in the main house only.

SeaStar is casual, sophisticated, beach living. It's
beautiful setting, cheerful colors, relaxed atmosphere, quality
provisions and local flavor provide the perfect setting for fun and
relaxation for all ages.

equipped kitchens, washer/dryer in each home, 3 car garage space,

beautiful and comfortable home for all ages. We will be happy to
assist you with any special needs or requests.

Pick oranges for breakfast, nap in the hammock, watch the kids in
the pool and the big game on tv at the same time, dine under the
stars with no "no-see-ums"...Paradise!

Captiva is a charming island, full of local flavor. A wide variety
of activities await you: boating, fishing charters, parasailing,
swimming in the warm, shallow Gulf waters, shelling, shopping and
fine dining. Nearby Sanibel offers miles of bikepaths,
canoe/kayaking,public golf courses, tennis, fascinating museums and
nature preserves, theaters, groceries, and wonderful shopping and
dining.


Morning walks on miles of pristine beach, afternoons spent napping
in the seaside hammock, poolside dining in front of a gorgeous
Captiva sunset and evenings spent with friends and family under the

Weekly rentals only.
Check-in is Saturday
at 4pm ( 16:00 hr).
Check-out is Saturday
at 10am ( 10:00 hr).

Smoking & pets are not permitted.

$1,000 security deposit by credit card and a 25% advance payment
will hold a weekly reservation. The payment balance is due 60 days
prior to scheduled arrival. Final payment may be by credit card or
personal check. 11% Florida state and hotel tax is applicable.

Cancellation allowed up to 60 days prior to scheduled arrival with
full advance payment refund less a $100 process fee.

No refunds are given for cancellation within 60 days of scheduled
arrival or after final payment is made unless home is re-booked for
that period. We suggest our available travel insurance to cover
cancellations due to health or weather related issues.
