Vacation Rental Description

"The Mistress" is an historic vacation home located in Wallace, Idaho,
nestled in the beautiful Silver Valley. It was originally built in
1915 and completely restored in 2005. Filled with charming character
and a genuine warmth, The Mistress sits proudly with a wonderful view.
There is plenty of on-site parking and Historic downtown Wallace is
just a minutes walk, in fact, everything in Wallace is easily
accessible by foot. Perhaps you’ve seen the town before in the movie,
Dante’s Peak? Wallace has small town charm and is full of things to
do. Old antique shops, stylish boutiques, quaint coffee houses and a
variety of stores will keep you busy. If you tire from a long day of
skiing or biking, hop on board Wallace’s nostalgic trolley for a
guided tour. For nightlife, check out the many clubs or bars.  Our
vacation home is ideally located for skiers and other winter sports
lovers with Lookout Pass and Silver Mountain just a short distance
in either direction. For cyclists, the ever popular Trail of the Coeur
d'Alenes and The Route of the Hiawatha are just a few minutes walk
from the house.

Activities and Attractions

Historic Downtown Wallace and Local Surroundings:
Popular visitor attractions are the Silver Mine tour, the Northern
Pacific Depot Railroad Museum, the Wallace District Mining Museum, the
Oasis Bordello Museum, the Sixth Street Melodrama, and the Sprag Pole
Museum (just over the hill).

Silver Valley:
Silver Valley is an all-season recreational area for those that love
the outdoors. Fishing, climbing, river rafting, kayaking, golf, hiking
and motorized exploration on two or four wheels. Bow, rifle, and
muzzle loader hunting for deer, elk, boar and mountain lion are also
popular.

Located in the panhandle of Northern Idaho, Silver Mountain is easily
accessible from I-90. Famous for its high-speed gondola which takes
you directly to the powder. Summertime offers excellent mountain
biking and a concert center.

Lookout Pass Ski Area:

  Vertical drop: 	1150 ft.
  Trails: 	        23
  Skiable area: 	540 acres
Famous for its powder and family atmosphere, Lookout Mountain gets an
impressive 400 inches of powder a year on its 540 acres and 23 runs.

Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes:
This 72-mile-long paved bike trail winds its way along beautiful
historic Silver Valley, through the chain lakes, near the river of
Lake Coeur d’ Alene, and into the Coeur d’ Alene Indian Reservation.
Fun for the entire family.

Route of the Hiawatha:
This trail is a beautiful section of abandoned rail bed that has been
turned into one of the country’s most impressive mountain bike trails.
The route takes you past waterfalls, vistas, 7 high trestles, and 9
tunnels (including one that is 1.7 miles long). Bring a light!

Vacation Rental Rates

$190 per night with a 2 night minimum for up to 9 people.

The cost for each additional guest, up to a 12 person maximum,       
is $40 per night.

Discounts are available for 2+ nights.  $990 per 6 nights.

A $300 refundable security deposit is required.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your reservation prior to 30 days before your check   
in date you will receive a full refund, less a $50 handling fee.
Cancellations made after that time will result in non-refund of deposit.
