Vacation Rental Description

Located in the sleepy town of Suwannee, where the Suwannee River  
meets the Gulf of Mexico. Suwannee Castaway is a fisherman's dream,  
while the living quarters are comfortable, the fishing amenities are  
perfect! You will have access to the Covered Boat House on a fresh  
water canal, located right in front of your living space. Your  
rental includes a boat slip in the Boat House which accomodates up  
to a 38' boat with a 13' beam. Also on the premises is a bait house  
where you can store your fresh bait and other equipment. After a  
long days fishing, sit back and relax by the quiet canal and listen  
to the fish jump, or kick back at a local restaurant and exchange  
fishing tales with the friendly locals.

Vacation Rental Amenities

This is a perfect retreat for those who are all about the fishing  
and the outdoors.  Among the amenities are a full sized  
stove,refrigerator,microwave,washer and dryer, cable  
TV,a/c as well as towels, linens,glasses, dinnerware, a full  
compliment of kitchen implements and appliances. King size bed, full  
size bed, a futon, and two twin beds. 
Included is a covered boat slip which will accomodate upto a 38' 13'  
beam boat.  
*Two 10k boat hanging motorized boat lifts are available on a  
monthly basis only, please inquire.

Activities and Attractions

Boating, fishing, scalloping, canoeing/kayaking, swimming,  
hiking/biking, sailing, diving, camping. 
 
Fish for large-mouth bass on the wide Suwannee River or winding  
fresh-water creeks, for redfish and trout in the rich grass beds at  
the mouth of the river, or for grouper, Spanish mackerel, or a host  
of other species on miles of serene Gulf of Mexico waters. 
 
Catch fresh scallops by the bucket! Snorkle through the grassy  
shallows for Florida Bay Scallops. While searching for scallops  
hiding in the grass, keep your eyes open for beautiful starfish,  
seahorse, and other exotic sealife. Open harvest season for bay  
scallops along Florida’s gulf coast begins July 1 and runs through  
September 10.  
 
Paddle through sloughs of golden sea grass in kayak or canoe, cruise  
a boat miles up the untouched Suwannee River, boat the gentle waves  
of the Gulf of Mexico with a soft breeze chasing behind, or drive,  
hike or bike the untamed Dixie Mainline or Lower Suwannee Wildlife  
Refuge. 
 
Wonder at the wildlife, sometimes as close as your deck over the  
water. Look for raptors, such as osprey and bald eagle nesting in  
estuary and island trees, and water birds such as snowy egret, or  
the great blue heron searching for food in estuary shallows.

Vacation Rental Rates

1 night rent $85 + 7% tax $5.95 + $35 cleaning fee = $125.95 
Monthly rent $850 + 7% tax  $59.50 + $60 = $969.50 
Rates below include $85 per night,  7% sales tax  
2 nights   $216.90 add $35 cleaning fee 
3 nights   $307.85 add $35 cleaning fee 
4 nights   $393.80 add $60 cleaning fee 
5 nights   $484.75 add $60 cleaning fee 
1 week same as 5 nights  $484.75 add $60 cleaning fee 
 
*Extra $15 per night for Holidays & Bay Scallop Season (July 1 and  
runs through September 10.) *These weeks are taken fast!!!! 
Extra $53.50 for check out after noon 
 
Rates are for 7 people. An additional $10 per day will be charged  
for each extra person. 
The above prices include all utilities including electric, cable TV,  
local phone service, water, sewer etc. and one covered boat slip on  
a Fresh Water Canal.

Security deposits:  
Daily rates must be secured within 1 week of arrival date. A $50  
security deposit will be added to all weekly rates under 2 days. 
3 or more days: Secure your rental with a $150 security deposit paid  
by check or money order. Full rent is due 30 days prior to arrival  
paid by check or money order. 
Secure your Monthly rental with a $250 security deposit paid by  
check or  
money order. Full rent is due 30 days prior to arrival paid by check  
or money order. 
 
Pets: Only friendly pets please. Unfriendly pets will be asked to  
leave. There are no fences at this property. If your pet is one who  
runs from you, leave him home. Keep all pets on a leash for their  
own safety and for the safety of others. Pets must be house broken. 
One Pet increases total rent by $50, 2 pets by $75. 
 
Security Deposits: Deposits are refundable as long as no damage is  
done to the property. Deposits will be mailed back in the form of a  
check within 7 days of your departure. 
 
Other Important Policies: 
 
Property Damage: Please take care of the property while you are  
there so it can be enjoyed by everyone year after year. Please  
contact property owner or manager immediately if something becomes  
accidentally or deliberatly damaged. Any deliberate acts of damage  
to the living space, boat house or Suwannee Castaway rental property  
caused by you or one of your party will be assessed by the property  
owner and you will be responsible to repair or replace the damage  
under the property owner's discretion. Any accidental damage caused  
by you or one of your party will also be assessed by the property  
owner, and you will be responsible to repair or replace the damage  
under the property owner's discretion.  
 
Maintenance Issues: Please contact the property owner or manager  
immediately if maintenance needs to be performed on the property. 
 
Cancellations: A cancellation fee of $200 will be deducted from your  
deposit amount if cancellation is within 72 hours of your arrival  
date.
