Me Casa in Prudence Island

Prudence Island is a quiet place to get back to nature. There are two
stores for selected groceries. There are no super markets, bars, or
cinemas. There are movies once a week for the children, and on
Friday, bingo at the Recreation Hall. As any small comunity, there
are get to gethers, ham and bean dinner, chicken dinner etc. They are
announces at the community hall board. There are nature trails and a
nature reserve. Children have great adventures and adults have
freedom to enjoy quiet time. There is sailing, fishing, clamming,
swimming, walking and bike riding. You will need to do a large
shopping before you arrive. You will also need to make reservations
on the ferry, well ahead of time.
There are a few a restaurants that will deliver to the ferry.
A trip on the ferry is usually a wonderful short trip, and you will
need to bring your camera as the view is spectacular.

The house is a two floor modified ranch, with the upper floor a
bedroom suite. The upper floor has a half bath and looks over
Narragansett Bay. There is a deck on three sides and lookes over the
bay. The lower floor has a dinning room 19 x20 a galley kitchen, a
small bedroom, large living room and a closed in porch with screens
and windows. A full bath is also on the lower level. The large
bedroom has a king size bed and the lower bedroom has bunk beds.
There is also a day bed on the porch for those who enjoy an afternoon
nap. The kitchen is fully equiped, coffee pot, pans, silverware,
dishes, and microwave. If you wish to lounge in the back yard, there
is a raised deck(but no railing)you may put some chairs there.
There are stairs leading to the beach in front of the house. There is
no phone so if you need a phone you will have to bring a cell phone
with you. There is a 45" TV in the living room for your use and a DVD.
There is a propane grill outside you may use, Please clean it after
use. NO smoking in the house or porch, thank you.
No pets allowed.

Since you will be enjoying Narragansett bay you will be swimming,
rowing if you have a small boat, boating, kayaking, shelling, there
are clams if you like to dig them. Bring your little shovels and
enjoy the sea food fresh from the bay. The Island is 7 miles long,
and great for biking. The Farnham farm is to the south of the house,
you may visit and learn a little bit of history. There is a community
garden at the farm and every one will be tending their garden. Watch
the deer as they cross the back yard early in the morning and dusk.
There is a one room school house on the Island that the Island
children attent. This is a shipping lane and many ships go by the
house. It is an incredable view.

We require 1/2 deposit to hold your reservation, and total amount due
two weeks prior to your reservation.
