Thanks to the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, which comes nearest to
the eastern seaboard of the U.S. at Jupiter Island, the average
ocean temperatures here are a tropical 84 degrees Farenheit (29
Celcius) in the summer and 72 degrees Farenheit (22 Celcius) in the
winter.

Start the day watching the sunrise at Blowing Rocks Preserve, a
place of unparalleled beauty minutes from your door. Or take a
morning run on the palm shaded paths of Jupiter Island while gazing
at the sprawling mansions. Or, rent a kayak or a canoe at the
Jupiter Outdoor Center and go on an incredible journey down the
Intracoastal Waterway to relax by the Loxahatchee River Sandbar or,
the truly adventurous may choose to glide through the pristine
tropical wilderness of Jonathan Dickinson State Park on the
