Vacation Rental Description

Situated on the south end of Lake Skaneateles, we have a bright and 
open Cape with wood floors on the lower level as well as carpeted 
game room and upstairs bedrooms.  It is freshly painted, clean and 
casual.  Lots of comfortable chairs for hanging around inside and 
out. This year round home is accessible summer or winter. The water 
of Skaneateles Lake is so crystal clear it is used as the water 
supply for the city of Syracuse.  Located on the original site of 
the Glen Haven Hotel, tourists from around the world visited for 
water cures until the early 20th Century. We are 25 minutes from the 
town of Skaneateles and 20 minutes from the town of Homer. 

Vacation Rental Amenities

Our home has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths.  Two bedrooms downstairs with 2 
twin beds in each.  Two bedrooms upstairs with 2 queen beds and 
crib.  We have a game room with free standing gas fire stove to take 
the chill off, living room with morning sun overlooking the lake, 
fully equipped kitchen and library for those quiet times you like to 
read.  The 180 feet of waterfront, with a grassy cribbed area and 
dock make swimming and sun bathing perfect.  Water toys include two 
kayaks and a Rave trampoline, and launch area 5 minutes away if 
you'd like to bring your own boat. We supply the fire pit and wood. 
Since we are grandparents we have a crib, two high chairs, small 
pool for the little ones, umbrella stroller and some toys for the 
kids.

Activities and Attractions

• Enjoy hiking our 6 acres of mountainous property, fishing, 
swimming and boating, as well as lounging on the lake. 
• Minutes away is Bear Swamp State Park where hiking, snowmobiling, 
cross country skiing, biking, and snowshoe activities are available 
on maintained trails.
• Take a wine tour, watch a polo match, bike around the lake, eat at 
restaurants within 5 minutes or drive into the town of Skaneateles.  
• Enjoy the classic boat show in July, music on the lake in August 
and shopping year round. 
• Play golf at several nearby courses at very reasonable rates.
• Winter events include the Dickens Christmas festival in December, 
skiing at nearby Greek Peak and other locales, and much more.
• And, of course, there is the cleanest lake in the Northeast!
