Vacation Rental Description

This home is ideal for singles / couples as well as families. 
 
This little lovely town is the capital of Andros Greece in the  
Cyclades and also the nicest and more interesting village of the  
island. Mid-ages houses, neo-classical and cycladic buildings,  
narrow alleys, stone walkways museums and beaches are giving to Hora  
a unique atmosphere. 
 
Andros (Hora) is built upon a small peninsula, in the centre of the  
east coastline of the island, between the two long sandy beaches of  
Neiborio and Paraporti. 
The heart of Andros Town has a unique beauty due to the combination  
of Venetian, Byzantine and Ottoman architecture;     
the gateway to the old city has been preserved and gives to the  
visitor the feeling to penetrate in another word, another time.  
 
The medieval atmosphere of the city co-exist in harmony with the  
modern one given by the new little shops, cafes and bars. 
 
Andros Town has two squares: the first one is stone paved and  
surrounded with many cafes, little restaurants and pastry shops, all  
shadowed by a huge plane tree; the second square is paved with  
marble, has a statue of the “Unknown Sailor” and an amazing view of  
the sea and the rest of the town; because it is located at the tip  
of the peninsula, this square is the best place to go to see the  
beautiful Venetian-style stone bridge connecting Andros Town to a  
little islet supportong the remains of an old castle, built, during  
the Venetian period, to protect the city. 
 
Colorful houses and wonderful neo-classical mansions add more beauty  
to the town. 
 
Hora is also the cause to the artistic reputation of the island  
because it is housing many fine museums from which the Museum of  
Modern Art exposes, every summer, works of famous Greek and  
international artists. 
Andros Town is 35 kilometres east of the harbour (Gavrio). From  
there, lovely and picturesque villages can be reach such as Messaria  
(a lovely medieval village), Menites, Stenies and Apoikia (where the  
famous Sariza spring is).

Vacation Rental Amenities

The home has two separate apartments which are each special in their 
own way: 
 
The first floor apt. has a kitchen, washer/dry unit, bathroom , 1  
bedroom with a full size bed;living room with two full size sleeper  
couches,dining table and equipt with ceiling fans. 
 
The second floor apartment has a full kitchen with dishwasher, two  
bedrooms- one with a queen size bed and the other with two twin size  
beds. Each bedroom has a small walk out terrace with sea views. 
 
The entire top floor is an open terrace with built in couches and  
lounge chairs, which has amazing views of the sea and town.

Activities and Attractions

Their are many things to do in Hora, 
Their are museums, restaurants, cafe's ,beaches ans historical sites. 
 
The home is located within the main town of Hora in a section called 
Plakoura, which is steps away from the main Platano where all the  
shops and cafes are.
