vacation rental description
Great place to enjoy the natural and cultural attractions of the Hamptons while living in a simple setting. This is my home other than the short period that I vacate it to rent it out. It's clean, functional, some might say a bit quirky, and I love it. It has 4 bedrooms counting a finished basement, 3 baths, and is located on a private wooded lot in a quiet neighborhood. 5 minute walk to Gardiner's Bay; 10 minute drive to ocean. The house is fully furnished with all the basic amenities: AC; washer/dryer; cable tvs and internet connection; etc. So if you want to enjoy the natural beauty of the East End and the perks of the Hamptons, in a very "un-Hampton" home, send me an e-mail.
Configuration: The ground floor has a kitchen that opens onto the living room, with a closet containing a washer and dryer, towels etc. The living room has a cathedral ceiling, woodburning stove, tv (cable for the tv and internet) and stereo. Also on the ground floor is 1 bedroom with a queen bed, and a bathroom. The kitchen opens onto a deck, where family and friends often hang out eating, reading and watching birds at the feeders. There is an outside shower on the deck, great for washing off sand from the day's outing to the bay or ocean.
Second floor has my "office" (basically a computer and desk in the open area at the top of the spiral stairway). There is 1 bathroom and 2 bedrooms: 1 with a king bed and 1 with a double bed.
Basement is finished with 1 queen bed and a bathroom.

Just minutes from the bay and the ocean, this is the ideal place for water lovers of all stripes. Walk to Clearwater's private bay beach for a swim, or try your hand at fishing from the jetty (fishing gear provided with the rental). I keep my boat at the marina and invite you to join me on an afternoon outing through Gardiner’s Bay to fish or just enjoy the sights. When you’ve had your fill of the water, walk and bike though the quiet residential neighborhood. Watch birds at the feeders, while barbecuing and sipping cocktails on the deck. Or for more exercise, take advantage of the numerous biking and walking trails -- approximately two-thirds of Napeague and Montauk's 13,000 acres are publicly owned!
