We have rented this house for 2 weeks with my 2 year old son. I found this home to be very safe and suited for kids. Little kid's table, kid's motorcycle on the deck (nicely left by owners) and playground in the backyard made my son's stay more entertaining. I have to disagree with comment that people from FL made. Owner was very friendly and helpful. It was our first time in Poconos and of course some of the things were unexpected (like dears or no connection of the cell phone). However things like that is beyond owner's control, therefore she can't be blamed for it. Things that owner is providing mentioned in the contract as well as things that we need to bring along. I would suggest to ask as many questions as you need in order to avoid surprises later. Once again owner answered all of my calls before, during and after our stay there.
Overall our experience was nice and relaxing. The fact that house has backyard with deck (not like other houses in that community - only deck)helped us to entertain ourselves when weather wasn't too warm or sunny for pool. All pools are kid's oriented. You do need to drive in order to get to the pool however for us it was a plus since I had full car of beach accessories and wouldn't be able to carry them anyway.

Great summer trip!!!!

This house was just great!!! I have rented this home for a summer trip with my family. We have stayed there for two weeks with two small children. The house has everything that you will need. Nice and very clean, with a large deck and playground in the back yard. I love it that everything is within the driving distance: shops, recreational areas, restarants. The pools in the community are wonderful and large size. I loved the Top of The World Pool , since its has a restarant, bar and makes you feel like you are on real vacation. I could close my eys and imagine that I am in the tropical islands. If you like to get more of the nature, there is a Deliware Recriational Area just a short drive away. All together it was a wonderful trip, and I can recomend this house for future guests. Enjoy!!!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Very Disappointing

This house was sparsely furnished - and decor was entirely lacking. Fake hardwood floors throughout made it very noisy - with just three adults walking around in barefeet (at the owner's request). No sheets or towels were provided and the owner did not let us know this until we were en route from Florida. Washer is a portable in the dining room that gets rolled into the kitchen and hooked up to the sink. Drying is on a pulley line outside that did not work. Dishes and glasses were a mismatched hodgepodge, with a couple of plastic tumblers for all beverages. Glass topped coffee table in living room was tipping precariously and had to be moved against the wall to prevent an accident/injury. No cell phone service. Trash dumpsters and gate house were 4-5 miles down the mountain. The owner will not return our security deposit, claiming falsely that we scratched the marred formica counter and left a bag of trash by the door when we departed. We did not cutting, chopping or slicing during our stay - and used the tiny cutting board to even butter toast. We left a note apologizing that we did not have room in the car after packing it up to carry the last bag of trash to the dumpster. This owner is not concerned with your comfort or enjoyment, just making money. An unfortunate experience that tainted our son's wonderful wedding.
