Vacation Rental Description

This cozy cabin sits high on a mountain top and is nestled at the end 
of a 2-mile dirt road in the middle of the woods with no neighbors in 
sight, but just minutes from Cashiers, Highlands, Sapphire, etc.  The 
large deck overlooks one of the best views that Lake Glenville has to 
offer.  Lake Glenville is known as one of the cleanest and most 
beautiful lakes in the US with waterfalls galore to explore along 
it's shoreline.  Mom's Place is a rustic little retreat, with a low 
rental rate, and has lots of room for a romantic getaway or a family 
vacation.  With new carpet, new wood floors, and freshly painted, 
this 2-story chalet is decorated with thick log furniture, old tools 
and rustic design features that make you feel like you're one 
of "us'n folks".  We own the nearby 18-hole Sapphire Mountain Golf 
Club and will provide seriously discounted golf rates to Mom's Place 
guests who desire an incredible round of golf on an outstanding and 
beautiful mountain course.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Mom's Place comes totally equipped with everything but a dishwasher 
(how hard is it to throw away paper plates?)  The kitchen is fully 
stocked with all appliances (except that darn dishwasher), pots, 
plates, cups, glasses, coffee maker, etc.  All linens, towels, 
pillows are supplied.  We even have a stackable washer/dryer for your 
day-to-day cleansing needs.  Each bedroom has a TV, with VCR.  Just 
installed DirectTV...yippee!!!  With DVD player...bigger yippee  (and 
Ingles Supermarket rents latest releases)!!!  Mom's Place even has 
XBox game system with 25 games for kids and/or husband.  Guess 
what?....phone too with local phone service but you won't need it cuz 
Mom's Place gets excellent cellphone service (who knew???) mainly 
with Cingular and Verizon.  Franklin stove fireplace for those chilly 
spring & summer nights.  BBQ grill on deck while totally enjoying 
Mother Nature, wildlife, birdsong, and long views of Lake Glenville 
and the majestic Smoky Mountains.  Make all the noise you 
want....nobody will hear you.

Activities and Attractions

What can't you do??  Lake Glenville offers boating, fishing, 
canoeing, kayaking, waterskiing, tubing, boogie boarding, wave 
running, jet skiing, paddle boating, swimming, island-hopping or just 
lazy, no-brainer sunbasking (w/ a good book, of course).  Bring your 
own or nearby Signal Ridge Marina rents it all from tubes to deck 
boats so you can picnic on one of the islands while whipping your kid 
around the lake on a long rope.  Golf at our own 18-hole Sapphire 
Mountain Golf Club at drastically reduced prices for Mom's Place 
guests.  Horseback riding, white water rafting (been there, done 
that, scary!!!), waterfall touring, waterfall hiking, mountain 
climbing (who would have figured??), rock climbing sites, Cherokee 
Indian Village, Biltmore Estate....this area has it all!!!  All 
information about all area activities is posted at Mom's Place and 
can also be sent to you in advance, so you won't miss a thing, I 
promise!!!  Shopping, antiquing, and fine dining (or mountain vittles 
consumption) is the specialty of Cashiers, Highlands and surrounding 
areas.  I will even share my own secret about the Friday nite 
hillbilly auction with you cuz this is the most hilarious, 
entertaining fun you can have for free, but it is a secret for Mom's 
Place guests only (we don't want to generate too much competition for 
world-class junk).
