Vacation Rental Description

Relax on the deck of our pet frendly gulf view home overlooking the freshwater lake with the gulf 
beyond. Catch of the Cape is a townhome is conveniently located 80 steps to the gulf front community 
pool, clubhouse and approximately 120 steps from the beach. Beach chairs, beach umbrella, boogie 
boards, skim board and lots of beachtoys including sand buckets/shovels for the kids are on hand for 
you to use during your stay. Escape from the crowded highways to your non-smoking vacation getaway 
with all the amenities of home: free DSL, four TVs, two VCRs, three DVDs, large library of books for 
all ages, video library, gas grill, outside shower and more. Barrier Dunes is located between the 
emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico and the tranquil waters of St. Joseph's Bay. This 
area, "The Forgotten Coast", was rated as the Number One Beach in America 2001! 

A tropical theme welcomes you to this spacious 2 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath townhome with a sleeping loft 
that makes a great get away for the kids or teenagers. TV's in all sleeping areas and the den. There 
are three twin beds and plenty of space to play games, do puzzles or watch your favorite movie. The 
main floor of this home has a fully equipped kitchen and dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator with 
icemaker, cooking range and oven. The dining room has seating for six plus two additional seats at 
the bar. A spacious balcony overlooking the pond opens off the great room on the main level. The 
master bedroom has a king bed with a private bath, TV with Cable/DVD, stereo and private balcony 
with a great view of the gulf. The other bedroom also has a private bath, queen bed, TV with DVD and 
balcony. Decks offer beautiful pond views - you can fish or feed the ducks right below your deck. If 
you have never experienced "Old Florida" you are in for a treat. Apalachicola is an old Coastal town 
only a short drive away and has great shopping, restaurants and museum about the invention of the 
ice machine. It is a refreshing change from your typical tourist town with it's charming storefronts 
and the oysters here are to die for! There's also a great waterpark in Panama City that makes for 
some great family fun. Come stay with us in this fabulous townhome. Grab your sunglasses, bathing 
suit, fishing pole and escape to the Cape!

Activities and Attractions

Boat, bike and kayak rentals available,Charter fishing (the fishing is outstanding!) and golf is 
also available.  If you are into tennis, Barrier Dunes has the only lighted tennis courts on the 
Cape.  You may also fish right in our backyard in the freshwater pond!

We are right by St. Joseph Peninsula State Park.  The water park in Panama City is just over an hour 
away and Appalachicola  is around 35 minutes with great restaurants and historic sites including the 
ice machine museum.
