Sunset Views and Perfect Swimming on Grindstone Lake in Hayward

This quiet, three bedroom, one full bath lake home is located on the
beautiful, sandy beaches of Grindstone Lake's Southeast shore. The house
sets approx 45' from the shore. The vista view from the living room is spectacular,
with beautiful sunsets. There is 110 feet of sandy level shoreline and the best swimming on Grindstone.
Grindstone Lake is a crystal clear, natural lake. The water depth in front of the house starts shallow and at 150 feet from the shoreline is aproximately 4 feet deep, with a soft, clean, sand
bottom. There is no abrupt drop off. My father built this lake home
when my brothers and I were very small. He wanted safe swimming for
his kids. The wooded back yard provides privacy.

There are three bedrooms. The main bedroom has two full size beds.
The other two bedrooms have a full size bed in each room. The bath
has a shower/tub with excellent water pressure. The kitchen
features a newer refridgerator/freezer, a recent glass top stove
and oven for those late night frozen pizzas, a microwave, toaster,
and cofee maker. The kitchen has a knotty pine bar. The dining
area is adjacent to the living room and kitchen. Enjoy full lake
and shoreline views while you dine or recline in the two large
recliners. The walls are all knoty pine. The floors are tile with
area rugs. There is a color TV, DVD player, radio and a telephone
with answering machine. You will need to bring your calling card
to make long distance calls. There is a picnic table and fire pit.
There is a boat dock. Water depth at the end of the 45 foot dock is
aproximately 2 feet.

Watching wildlife, such as deer, bald eagle, black bear, ducks and blue heron.
Fishing for panfish, Musky, Northern, Walleye, Bass, and
and Catfish. Swimming and boating.
There are many excellent restuarants around the lakes and in Hayward
including Famous Daves on Round Lake, Karb's, The Angler, Cooper's
Restaurant, Coop's Pizza, The Hideout (Al Capone's former Northwoods
Retreat), the eclectic Turk's Inn, etc....
You can golf, ride the go-carts, play putt-putt golf, bowl, see a movie,
or go horseback riding.
Visit downtown Hayward and have a sandwich, tasty ice cream & fudge,
or just shop till you drop!
Attend a Lumber Jack show or visit the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame
or one of the area's Wildlife Museums, or visit the brand-new Hayward
Library.
And of course, just relaxing, reading, playing games, photographing
sunsets, and looking up at the stars.

Rates start at $695.00 per week for two adults, and $100.00 extra per person, regardless of age up to five people.  We also charge for pets.  Important! We require the name, age, and address of EACHperson staying. You can list your children by there first name (ie' "Betty and Charlie Jones and our two children Tom and Suzy")This information is for liability reasons and our records only. We do NOT share any information about our guests. All information will be kept PRIVATE!
We require a $250.00 damage deposit, you will receive the deposit back after you check out okay, $50 retained for cleaning.
