Spectacular Oceanfront Sea Chase Condo in Summer Beach!! in Amelia Island

Peaceful large upscale oceanfront condo

My husband, 3 adult children with spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend, and 2 young grandchildren spent 1 week here. I would definitely consider staying here again if my family decides to return to Amelia Island.
Pros:
1. Condo was the perfect size and allowed us ample space.
2. The large dining table enabled us to all eat together.
3. Overall furniture was nice.
4. We could all fit in the living/dining/kitchen areas and not feel crowded.
5. Access to the beach was great.
6. Beach was quiet with only a few families within sight.
7. Sand & water not as nice as Gulf,but not bad. Had good surf & many shells.
8. Had a breeze on the beach entire time. Never got too hot on beach.
9. Condo equipped with beach umbrella and couple of chairs.(Wish I had known.)
10. Condo also has 3 bikes, 1 for a child.
11. Private LP bar-b-que on balcony.
12. Located in upscale gated community.
13. Easiest check-in and check-out that I have ever done.
14. Contact person was easy to work with.
15. Easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, etc.

Cons:
1. County has NO ALCOHOL policy on beach, and I was not informed of this before arrival, and no sign was posted. Only after the police stopped and threatened a $150 fine or jail did we become aware of the policy.
2. Balcony was small and seldom had a breeze, so we seldom used it.
3. Laundry was located in garage, which is downstairs from living unit. This was very inconvient. Laundry baskets should be provided to assist with laundry transport. Also, just to see if the laundry was finished required walking from the front door down the stairs about 20 steps to the garage.
4. We did see several live roaches in unit, including 1 in kitchen drawer.
5. Attention was not paid to details on cleanliness. Kitchen and bathroom faucets should have been cleaned better.
6. Lots of steps from outside to upper levels; unsuitable for elderly/diabled.
7. Garage door broke on 2nd or 3rd day. Maintenace came promptly to check it out, but it was not repaired during our stay. Garage became very, very hot because of all of the laundry that was done.

Recommended for: families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway
