'Moose Hollow' is a post and beam house tucked quietly in the middle
of a forest, on 3 private acres. The only neighbors you see from its
windows are the squabbling red squirrels that live in the surrounding
pines and cedars. Apart from their chattering and birds singing, the
only sound you hear as you sip your coffee under a cedar tree is the
occasional lobster boat coming back to the harbor, for the ocean is
not even a half a mile away.
Moose Hollow is a perfect place to unwind for those tired of
the madness of the urban world.
In an upstairs cathedral-ceiling living room you feel like you are up
in the trees when you look through the over-sized windows.
The downstairs floors have lovely terracotta tiles and with
its radiant heat your bare feet will never feel the chill of the
morning.
With huge windows in the master bedroom no deer can sneak by without
you knowing. The house is big enough for a family to move around
without stepping on each other's toes.
Acadia National Park is only 5 minutes away and so is a public boat
launch. The house makes an ideal base for water sports, whether
kayaking on Long Pond or launching a boat into the sea.
Thank you for considering our home.
