Vacation Rental Description

Located on a quiet, historic street in a peaceful residential area, 
Halaulani Place is a restored Hawaiian plantation style home built 
in 1917.  It is located within a 15 to 20 minute walk (5 minutes by 
car)to the farmer’s market, shopping, and fine or casual dining in 
the Hilo historical downtown district.  It is only a few minutes 
from many of Hilo’s finest beaches and parks.

The guest house living space is approximately 2500 square feet.  It 
is a comfortable and inviting 2 bedroom, 2 bath home with a large 
living room, an 8 place dining room, breakfast nook, a library, a 
reading room, 3 separate lanais (covered porches), and a spacious 
kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a commercial 
grade, gas oven and stove.

The Far East Room has a sleep number king size bed and a private 
bath with a claw foot bath tub and large shower.  The Hawaiiana Room 
has a double bed and a twin bed or a king, the bath is a few steps 
down the hall.

The yard is professionally landscaped with a covered gazebo that 
overlooks the tropical Pukihae stream.  It is perfect for 
entertaining and barbequing.

Halaulani Place Policies:

-  No minimum stay (except during Merrie Monarch)
-  Smoking is not allowed
-  We can not accommodate pets
-  Children must be at least 10 years old
-  No child care is provided
-  Consumption of alcohol is permitted (if you bring your own)
-  Check in is 3:00 pm. and checkout is 10:00 am.
-  Full guest house rental for 4 days or more includes use of
   kitchen.
