Vacation Rental Description

     Welcome to SUMMERWIND at Alligator Point. If you want somewhere to relax and unwind,swim and 
play and enjoy  natural serene, unspoiled  surroundings we welcome you to vacation in our , cozy 
coastal home located on Florida's "Forgotten Coast." The property is located bayside on the 
beautiful "Alligator Point Aquatic Preserve." We are directly across the street from "Bald 
Point State Park." Twelve miles of white sandy gulf beaches are within biking distance, just 1/2 
mile away. Or stay and enjoy the sun on the private dock and amazing views of the harbor with Mullet 
jumping staight out of the water and  Pelicans and Snowy Egrits soaring overhead. 
     This sparkling clean  home has everything you need for the perfect retreat for couples, 
families with children of all ages,and "snow birds" looking for an uncrowded getaway. Of course if 
you want to go out, delicious seafood restaurants,the  marina and it's tiki bar, or perhaps some 
local live music , and fun activities for all of our guest's  are  just a short drive .More 
information is detailed below. We also have a helpful guest guide available for everyone with 
specific ideas and local attractions to make your stay  more enjoyable to your tastes.        
    SUMMERWIND'S location lends to  spectacular sunset views of Alligator Harbor from your living 
room,the sun room or your own private deck or private dock! 
    SUMMERWIND includes 2 bedrooms and 1 full bath in the main living area. The 
enclosed sun porch has an additional double trundle bed. This is an excellent spot  for reading a 
book with a panoramic view of the harbor and a cozy extra sleeping area that closes off for 
privacy.     
   Downstairs, adjacent to the large screened porch ,is a guest bedroom with a separate entrance for 
2 more guests. 
 The French doors from the downstairs bedroom open to the huge screen porch with seating for 6 
guests when dining alfresco . A relaxing double hammock is also available if you just want to unwind 
and nap in the seabreezes.  
    Abundant nature surrounds this location which is perfect for birdwatching. Look for pelicans, 
majestic bald eagles , snowy egrets , blue herons and our unique white sqiurrels while enjoying the 
serenity of your own waterfront backyard.

* Visit our state capital,Tallahassee (40 minutes) and Florida State University, St. George 
Island,Carrabelle, Eastpoint ,  Historic Apalachicola for a cobblestone stroll,great restaurants,  
antique and souvineer shoppes , St. Marks or enjoy our Alligator Point Marina with  "The End of the 
Earth Oasis," Tiki Bar for a beer and a good sandwich with friendly locals and summer visitors. 
* Children of all ages will enjoy being Junior Marine Biologists when 
they visit the "Gulf Specimen Marine Lab" 
in Panacea and explore interactive touch tanks filled with  local 
aquatic animals .
* Wakulla Springs State Park is a favorite of the locals where you'll see Manatee and 
abundant nature from the scenic boat 
tours. Spend the rest of the day swimming in the cool ,clear spring 
water ,take a picnic lunch or grab a 
snack at the cafe or the full service restaurant
