Quiet Beachfront Back River Cottage: 5 bedrooms $2800/week in Tybee Island

Welcome to our private summer home on Tybee's prestigious Back River.
Our house is one of the finest authentic two story beach cottages on
the Tybee Historic Registery, with wonderful large wrap around
porches and a sweeping view of the water, perched right on the beach
to catch the breeze. Ideally located on the south end of Tybee, it is
an incredible vantage point to see the sunsets every day of the year.
And of course, your own hammock to swing and nap in.

The Back River beach has smaller waves ideal for young children, or
for the more adventurous the Ocean is just a short walk around the
"Point". The house is located directly on the beach with a private
dune 'walkover'. If you wish, you can anchor your boat right in
front of the house.

For those of you who don't know the area, we are 20 minutes away from
downtown historic Savannah, with all of its cultural and historic
amenities, and a short boat ride away from Hilton Head.

There are three bedrooms and two full baths upstairs, and two bedrooms
and two full baths downstairs. There is a playroom downstairs with a TV,
VCR, and ping pong table for the kids.

We are sure you will understand that because this is an historic wood
structure, we have a strict NO SMOKING policy.

We offer all the amenities such as a fully equiped kitchen,
washer/dryer, linens, towels, cable TV, hammock, individual air
conditioners in each bedroom, etc.

The house is located on the Back River which is perfect for swimming,
kayaking in creeks, fishing, crabbing, and napping in the hammock.
Historic Fort Pulaski, Fort Screven and the Tybee Island light station
are just a quick trip to the other side of the island. A 20 minute
drive will get you to Historic Downtown Savannah where you will find
horse drawn carriage tours, wonderful restaurants, fantastic shopping
on historic Broughten street and much much more. We have kayak/bike
rentals and tour suggestions when you arrive.

High Season is Memorial Day to Labor Day at $3250/ week. April/ May,
September/ October $2800 per week. November - February the house is
closed.

$1000 deposit, $250 Refundable Damage Deposit due
upon arrival. Damage Deposit will be returned within two weeks of
departure date.

Rental weeks run Saturday to Saturday. Arrival time is 3:00 PM
Saturday. Departure time is 11:00 AM the following Saturday. We are
flexible about arrival and departure dates when the house is not otherwise
rented. However, we are not able to shift days during the "high season".
