Vacation Rental Description

Looking for a relaxing northern Michigan get-a-way for you and your  
family?  This is it!  
 
Located in a wooded setting at Cordwood Point just minutes east of  
Cheboygan, Michigan, this two-bedroom cottage sleeps six  
comfortably.  Even though the cottage is not on the water, it is  
just across a quiet gravel road and through a wooded park.  Less  
than 200 feet from your door to Lake Huron.  Its like having a  
private park and beach for you and your family. 
 
From the beach, you can swim, walk miles of scenic Lake Huron  
shoreline, or just sit in the swing and enjoy the view.  Speaking of  
great views, during the summer the sun rises and sets over the  
lake.  You won’t find that combination in many places.  Lake Huron  
is shallow in the area with a sandy bottom and is great for wading  
and swimming.  And, if you are up for a little adventure, the  
remains of a sunken ship are within snorkeling distance straight out  
from the beach.   
 
In September and October the days are generally clear and crisp and  
the fall colors are spectacular. 
 
December, January and February brings snow for cross-counrty skiing  
and snow shoeing.  From the back door you can head out onto the  
beach or along nearby trails.  Snowmobiling is also available close  
by. 
 
The cottage has a typical northern Michigan look about it and is  
only steps from Lake Huron.  Just this past year we remodeled the  
kitchen and installed a washer and dryer.   
 
You could spend almost twice the money for a similar rental on the  
lake.  Or, stay less than a minute off the water and save the  
difference for your family.

Activities and Attractions

After your time along the shore or on the trails, you will want to  
see what else the area has to offer.  Cheboygan offers unique shops and  
restaurants for our enjoyment.  Just a short drive further west is Mackinaw City with more shops,  
restaurants, ferries to Mackinac Island and a great view of the “Mighty Mac” bridge.  To the east is  
Rogers City and the Great Lakes Lore Museum.  Along the way you will find the 40 Mile Point  
Lighthouse, the Old & New Presque Isle Lights and fine restaurant.     
 
Summer, fall, winter or spring Lake Huron and our cottage is a great  
location and a great value for you and your family 
 

Vacation Rental Rates

The cottage is now available by week, weekend or month all year  
round.  
 
Weekly occupancy is 5pm Saturday through 10am the following  
Saturday.  Weekend occupancy is Thursday through Monday, but can be  
adjusted based on availability. 
 
RATES:  July 1 through Labor Day - $500.00 per week.  Labor Day through June 30 - $65.00 per day  
with a two day minimum.  A security deposit of $200.00 or 40% of your rental charge (whichever is  
less) is required to hold your date.  The deposit will be returned to you within two weeks after  
your visit and an inspection of the property is made.  Rental payment is due two weeks before your  
arrival date.  No pets.  No smoking indoors.
