Cordwood Point Cottage in Cheboygan

Looking for a relaxing northern Michigan family get-a-way? This is it!
Located just minutes east of Cheboygan, Michigan in a wooded setting is Cordwood Point.  This two-bedroom cottage sleeps six comfortably.  Even though the cottage is not on the water, it is just across a quiet gravel road and through a wooded park. Less than 200 feet from your door to Lake Huron. Its like having a private park and beach for you and your family.

From the beach, you can swim, walk miles of scenic Lake Huron shoreline, or just sit in the swing and enjoy the view. Speaking of great views, during the summer the sun rises and sets over the lake. You won't find that combination in many places. Lake Huron is shallow in the area with a sandy bottom and is great for wading and swimming. And, if you are up for a little adventure, the remains of a sunken ship are within snorkeling distance straight out from the beach.

In September and October the days are generally clear and crisp and the fall colors are spectacular. December, January and February brings snow for snowmobiles, cross-country skiing and snow shoeing.  You can head out onto the beach or along nearby trails.  Snowmobile trails to Cheboygan, Black Mountain, Indian River, Mackinaw City and more are accessible from the back door. There are cross-country trails nearby or you can ski or show shoe along the Lake Huron shore.

The cottage has a typical northern Michigan look about it and is only steps from Lake Huron. The kitche was recently remodeled and we also installed a washer and dryer.

You could spend twice the money for a similar rental on the lake. Or, stay less than a minute off the water and save the difference for your family.

After your time along the shore or on the trails, you will want to see what else the area has to offer. Cheboygan offers unique shops and restaurants for our enjoyment. Just a short drive further west is Mackinac City with more shops, restaurants, ferries to Mackinac Island and a great view of the "Mighty Mac" bridge. To the east is Rogers City and the Great Lakes Lore Museum. Along the way you will find the 40 Mile Point Lighthouse, the Old & New Presque Isle Lights and fine restaurant.
Summer, fall, winter or spring Lake Huron and our cottage is a great location and a great value for you and your family.

The cottage is available to rent year-round.  We rent by week from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. It is available by day (two-day minimum), weekends or longer after Labor day until Memorial Day.

Weekly occupancy is 5pm Saturday through 10am the following Saturday. Daily or weekend occupancy will be adjusted adjusted based on availability.
RATES: Memorial Day through Labor Day - $600.00 per week...  Labor Day through Saturday before Memorial Day - $75.00 per day with a two-day minimum.  A security deposit of $250.00 or 40% of your rental charge (minimum deposit $100) is required to hold your date. The deposit will be returned to you within two weeks after your visit and an inspection of the property is made. Rental payment is due two weeks before your arrival date.
