This outstanding getaway is semi-remote and surrounded by wilderness.
The log cabin sits on eight acres of wooded land at 4200' of elevation
on Round Mountain, in western NC. Round Mountain is in both Jackson
and Transylvania Counties, land of the waterfalls. Some of the logs
in the structure are over 40 feet long. It has a great fireplace in
the living room, 26' ceilings in the main room, a modern remodeled
kitchen with stainless steel appliances, gas heat, and outstanding
views from all three levels.
Bedrooms:
Bedroom #1 located in the loft and has a full bath with oversized
Whirlpool tub. Bedroom #2 located on the main level has a full bath
with claw foot tub, Bedroom #3 located on the lower level has a full
bath with a large tiled shower with bench and frameless glass door.

The entire property is covered in various species of ferns and wild
flowers during the summer months. Secluded private setting on gentle
land, the perfect family or friend getaway where you can roast
marshmallows on the outdoor fire pit, hike on trails throughout
property or nearby, or simply relax in the hammock with big views.
Located about an hour from the Asheville, NC airport, 1 hour from
Harrah's Casino on the Cherokee Indian Reservation, 40 minutes to the
towns of Brevard, Sylva and Cashiers.

Fly Fishing/Lake Fishing/Boating/Swimming: Property is minutes away
from Tanasee Creek, Tanasee Lake, Wolf Lake, Bear Lake, Tuckasegee
River, and North Fork of the French Broad. Two person canoe is
available for use. Also surrounded by numerous crystal clear mountain
fly fishing streams.
Hiking: Hike to various waterfalls from the front door. Five minute
drive to the Rock Bridge Road entrance of Panther Town Valley. Thirty
minute drive to the Devil's Courthouse on the Blue Ridge Parkway which
can be seen from the Cabin. About an hours drive to the Cherokee
Indian Reservation entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park
which can also be seen from the cabin. Thirty minute drive to Gorges
State Park and Whitewater Falls which is the largest waterfall in the
Eastern United States.
Mountain Biking: Walk out the front door, hop on your bike and be in
Panther Town Valley in minutes. Various logging roads through
Nantahala and Pisgah National Forests are also available.
Whitewater Rafting/Paddling: Centrally located between the Nantahala,
Chattooga, French Broad, Green, Pigeon, and Tuckasegee Rivers.
Climbing: Ten minute walk to the top of two pitch cliff. Forty
minutes to Cashiers Valley or Looking Glass Rock.
Also a great place to relax and do nothing. Peaceful and quiet.

Payment in full secures dates. North Carolina Tax of 7.75% and a Jackson County Occupancy Tax of 3% not included. 20% of rate will be kept for cancelled reservations within one month of reservation date. Absolutely no smoking on this property! Smoking will result in loss of damage deposit.
