Vacation Rental Description

!! No Hurricanes, Nor'Easter's, Sharks, or Saltwater Found Here !!

What we do have to offer however is our large summer house within very easy walking distance to Lake 
Michigan for weekly rentals. 

Located in the Hagar Shores Beach area of Coloma Michigan in between St. Joseph and South Haven. 
This spot is a collection of homes and cottages surrounded by large Oaks and Maples in a rustic 
setting and is part of a private beach association called "Lake Michigan Beach Property Owners 
Association". 

This association (started in the 1940s) has a wonderful Lakeside compound complete with parking, 
clubhouse, playground, facilities, and the best part of all...over 1/2 mile of clean, beautiful 
private Lake Michigan beach where the sunsets just cannot be beat. 

The rules are very relaxed on the beach as well. Basically no glass, dogs, or motorized vehicles. 
But alcohol (manners always apply), camping with campfires, vollyball, etc are all OK. The beach is 
typically not very busy...especially the further you move away from the bluff staircase. 

PLEASE NOTE: No houses in this association including ours are located directly on the beach compound 
property as the bluff above the private beach remains completely wooded. But it takes less 
than a minute to drive from our house to the compound and we usually walk about 7 or 8 minutes.  
There seemed to be some confusion where people thought this house was located directly on Lake 
Michigan itself so we wanted to include this note to properly set expectations.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Our home is a VERY large house/cottage that we have renovated with tasteful updates while 
maintaining its "Lake Cottage" charm.

It is laid out best for large, extended or multi-family use with...

-Air Conditioning

-Four regular bedrooms (3 Queen/1 Full)

-2 Full Bathrooms
Note: Upstairs bath has full tub( but no shower)so is best suited for the kids

-A large "Kid's Dorm" bedroom with five twins and a Pack-n-Play crib

-Front porch with piano and multiple seating areas

-Back porch with pull out couch for an extra sleeping space

-Full dining room with seating for 10-12

-Breakfast nook with table and counter seating

-Small 'Kichenette' upstairs with table, sink, and microwave

-Galley kitchen with all appliances, cookware, dishes, etc.

-Living room with couch, loveseat, chair, and TV

-Large deck of the rear porch with full patio set

-Platform deck in the side yard with full patio set

-Full basement with bar and laundry facilities

-Large yard around the house with extra property behind the house for yard sports

Tons of little nooks and crannys the kids seem to love exploring and playing in!

Activities and Attractions

If the private beach is not enough.. two small public beaches are located about 5 minutes north and 
south of this location. Moreover the large State beaches in St Joseph (Silver Beach) and South Haven 
are both located about 20 minutes away. 

The towns of St Joseph and South Haven also make wonderful dining and shopping destinations.

Numerous water sports, golfing, and other outdoor activities are plentiful throughout the area with 
detailed information in our guest book at the property.

Vacation Rental Rates

Weekly Rentals begin with Check-In on Saturdays or Sundays at 3pm and Check-Out the following 
Saturday or Sunday by 10am

Other Time Periods -Need multiple weeks, 4 day weekend, a week and a half, or a Friday-to-Friday, 
etc...we like to be flexible...just ask.

**3 Night Minimum On Non-Weekly Requests Please**

May -$1600/week 
June -$1900/week 
July -$1900/week 
Aug -$1900/week 
Sept -$1600/week (Labor Day Weekend/Week at August Rate)

A cleaning fee of $75 and the the State of Michigan 6% tax will also be added to the rental price. 

A $300 refundable security deposit is also required.
