Vacation Rental Description
This lovely Key West-style home is located in Lantana, a quiet, safe,
exclusive Palm Beach County residential neighborhood, a short walk
from the beach and a few yards from the Intracoastal waterway, which
is across the street.
Lantana -- a picturesque old Florida fishing village which retains
its original charm -- is conveniently located in the very center of
the top South Florida attractions, a few miles south of West Palm
Beach and Lake Worth, and close to Boynton Beach, Delray, Deerfield,
Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale.
The house, which once belonged to the Mayor of Lantana, has been
completely renovated and decorated in a tasteful Key West style. All
front windows have partial introacoastal water views, and you can
enjoy soft ocean breezes as you relax on the front porch or
dine by the pool and palm trees in the gorgeously landscaped back deck
garden, completely enclosed for privacy. There is a large
swimming pool with a diving board and pool light.
The fully-furnished house comfortably sleeps 6 to 8 guests. There’s a
queen-sized bed in the master bedroom, which has a spacious walk-in
closet, and two singles in the second bedroom. Both rooms have large
sliding picture windows onto the pool area and share an updated
bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath-tub. There's also a king size
convertible sofa-bed in the living room for two more guests.
The guest house sleeps two, with a separate bathroom with shower. Lovely pool view.
The house has a large living-dining room, a den/TV room, updated
kitchen, utility room, covered carport and driveway with room for
several vehicles. A wide, L-shaped covered gallery in the
pool area provides shade in the daytime and a romantic setting for
evening al fresco dining. The patio table seats eight, under a paddle
fan and various spotlights.
Location: one mile east of the I-95 expressway, a few miles
from the Florida Turnpike, 5 min. from the Hypoluxo Tri-Rail train
station with direct connections to Fort Lauderdale, Miami, West Palm
Beach and the international airports. Driving times: 35 mins. to Fort
Lauderdale, 70 mins. to Miami, under 3 hours to Disney World, Busch
Gardens, the Everglades, Cape Canaveral and the Gulf Coast, 3-5 hours
to the Florida Keys.
