vacation rental description
Please note: When the MAIN HOUSE is booked on the calendar, the GUESTHOUSE may still be available. Please inquire.
This is a 3 bedroom main residence and a detached loft/guesthouse. You can rent either one...or you can rent both houses together.
THE MAIN HOUSE
This spacious architectural home, designed by noted architect, John Porter, is the ultimate Venice hideaway. It's located in the heart of Venice, one of the best locations in Los Angeles, California. Located on a quiet one-way street, the famous Abbot Kinney is just steps away. With vaulted wood ceilings and plenty of skylights, it's bright and airy, totally relaxing...
The house has a fully equipped kitchen that opens to a private deck, perfect for al fresco dining. Indoors, you can cuddle around the cozy fireplace. The tropical garden is a tranquil setting, great for a picnic or sitting by the fire pit BBQ. Each of the three bedrooms sleeps two; 2 queen beds and 2 twins that can made up as a king or as two singles. There is also a trundle daybed upstairs to sleep up to a total of 8 guests in beds, or more on a comfortable aerobed or couch.
THE LOFT GUESTHOUSE
This is a large open living space with vaulted wood ceilings, draped skylights. Originally an art studio, it has been converted to a spacious living loft. Paint splattered floors contrast with modern furnishings; a comfy queen bed with fluffy down bedding, a modular couch that can be put together to sleep 1-2 more, a 32" Sony plasma flat panel HDTV, lots of books and magazines, and a stereo. Sleeps 4 (or more on aerobeds.)
LOCATION
Located in the heart of Venice, on a quiet tree-lined street, the famous Abbot Kinney and Marina are just steps away. Stop by the French Market Cafe for coffee & croissants, then stroll 15-20 minutes through the scenic canals to the beach! Located in one of the most artistically exciting areas in Los Angeles, California, it's no wonder renowned architect, Frank Gehry, has chosen to build his own home right down the street! Bike to the beach in less than ten minutes on our two guest bicycles.
