Sea Pine Cottage in Sea Ranch

The Sea Ranch is internationally known and revered for its attempt
to blend man-made structures with their natural setting. This most
picturesque northern California area, 100 miles north of San
Francisco dotted with distinctive homes, spreads for about ten miles
on either side of Highway One in the coastal Sonoma County of
California. The building design is unique in its architecture, and
the challenge to "live lightly on the land" is on-going.

The "Sea Pine Cottage" is one of the Meadow Homes of The Sea Ranch.
It is located 400 yards from the rugged shore line that
is typical of Northern California. The wide open meadow is a natural
surrounding for deer, rabbits, wild turkeys and other birds of every
kind.

The privacy of this home sets the tone for your peaceful Sea Ranch
vacation. You enter into a light, contemporary place with the
wonderful rich colors of the French Impressionists and art prints by
the Dutch painter van Gogh. A lush meadow setting and warmly
decorated living space have made the "Sea Pine Cottage" a favorite
for many repeat guests over the years. For your convenience you will
find an office corner with a writing/computer desk and printer. Even
books and novels have been started here.

Relax in a lounge chair on the deck or upstairs balcony, marvel at
the wide open ocean and watch the wildlife move by. The ocean may be
too cold for anything but wading due to its year-round temperature
of 55 degrees F (13 C), but with three swimming pools, saunas,
tennis courts, a golf course, and miles of hiking trails that
meander along the coastal cliffs, through meadows and forests, there
is no shortage of outdoor activity in the sunny yet temperate
climate of Sea Ranch. Or, soak in the hot tub on the deck of
the "Sea Pine Cottage" and watch the sun set over the ocean.

Even the occasional winter storms, with their high winds and driving
rains, become an enjoyable experience when watched through the
window, and comforted by the warmth from a crackling wood stove, a
good book and something to nibble. The excellent stereo sound system
is an invitation to listen to your favorite CD or your iPod.

- 10 miles of bluff-top hiking trails
- additional 35 of miles of meadow and hill-side hiking trails
- Beach combing, whale watching from November through March
- playing in the tide pools, wildlife viewing
- Relaxing, reading, music listening, hot tubbing

3 or more nights minimum during Holiday weekends
October through May: 3 nights for the price of 2, except for Holiday times
9% County tax, $50 basic cleaning + $4.50 County tax, $300 refundable security deposit will be added
