-- SECOND FLOOR: 2 bedrooms, each with private bath (King-size bed in master BR, queen-size bed in guest room) beds are comfortable American-made beds with great pillows and linens. Both bedrooms and office (also with private bath) are on the second floor. 2 hair dryers.

Also an office on second floor, between the bedrooms.  Two desks, one computer for guest use (PC with Windows Vista).  Wireless internet for your laptop, too.  Office also has a private bath.

Located 1.2 miles from El Centro (Jardin) in Colonia Santa Julia
Colonia Santa Julia has a great mix of neighbors: Mexican, American,Canadian, European. Rent a home where the residents of San Miguel live!
-Bus service into Centro (the Santa Julia bus) three blocks away (no bus fumes on our calle!). Easy walk from the house to Centro and back. Taxis are 25 pesos (about $2 U.S.) flat rate every daytime trip, 30 pesos at night.

Please note that house is booked until April 2, 2010. 

Regular rate is $1,300/month, but we do work deals for monthly or longer term rentals.

By the week for 1-2  people: $400

We prefer 2 people to rent. Pets welcome, but this is not a good house for children.

$300 refundable security deposit.
Rent includes all costs except household gas usage (approximately $15/wk,depending on how much hot water and gas oven is used).
If staying one week, gas cost is waived. Standard vacation rental contract must be signed.
This is not a slapdash rental house. It is our home six months of each year and we like luxury! We are not looking to make money on renting our second home - we just want to cover our costs during the months we live in Austin,Texas.

*Heloc: an old Aztec word we discovered that means "Home Equity Line of Credit."
