Our family of 4 (with 2 girls 15 and 17) just returned from our vacation to Sanibel island. For starters, our family had possibly the best vacation ever, in large part due to this property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was truly perfect for us. It had everything we needed and was so close to the beach too. It real is just a 2 minute walk down to the beach where there was excellent shelling to be had or just laying on the soft sandy beach. This property is right on the bike path network, so if you rent bikes you are easily within a 10 minute ride of other beaches and many of the shops and restaurants on the island. We highly recommend renting bikes.
This property was more than we could have ever imagined. We really felt like we experienced the “cottage feel” on Sanibel island. We really appreciated all of the little, but special amenities that were on the property such as all of the beach toys and chairs, the shelling baskets/tools to dig up shells, a nice Weber grill, flashlights, all of the cooking and food storage items, all of the smaller appliances that you would have at your home, and full-sized refrigerator, washer and dryer. The owner has really thought of everything when they furnished this property. Nearly everything at the property worked flawlessly and the air conditioning worked great and kept us cool at night,. The place was very clean and well kept and looked almost recently renovated. The bed in the master bedroom was nice and firm, and the sofa was great for taking an afternoon nap on. There are 2 TV's with about 20 available channels, but we didn't go to Sanibel to watch TV, so that wasn't an issue for us. The sofa has a pullout bed to accommodate 2 more people (which we didn't need). There was plenty of bedding sheets and sufficient supply of towels.
This was our first visit to the island we really fell in love with it. This property is really a special place on Sanibel. We really felt like we were ‘home’ and we really enjoyed the ability to quickly go for our morning and evening strolls along the beach. If you are a family like us, who is looking for a nice, simple cottage vacation experience on Sanibel, you will have a great time here.
