Over the years, our place has been a great place for a annual family reunion.

NO PETS & NO SMOKING     NO CAMPERS,TRAILERS OR TENTS ALLOWED

We are very fortunate to have the very best waterfront conditions on Higgins Lake!

You can go out about 400-500 feet and your in about 3 - 4 feet of crystal clear water

with a very nice sandy bottom.

Excellent conditions for both swimming and snorkeling in wonderfully warm water during the summer months. Everything you could  imagine for your family water fun activities!

We are located on the west side of Higgins Lake. Both homes have been completely updated and furnished to include everything you could possibly need.            

Just bring your tooth brush, beach towels and water toys.

MAIN HOUSE 

Is directly on the water with a large sun room with 3 lazy boy chairs, excellent room to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake views.

Large well stocked kitchen, with 2 big windows with beautiful direct views of the lake.

Watch your family enjoying the lake while you cook.

The main house is approx. 1,850 SF with (3) bedrooms with two full bathrooms, large living room with (2) full size sofas, lazy boy chair, with large TV, and DVD/VHS, cable, updated kitchen, newer appliances, stove, dishwasher, newer carpet, newer ceramic flooring, windows & bathrooms, washer/dryer:
-Master Bedroom: queen size bed (TV/VHS)and attached full bath
-Other 2 rooms have (2) twin size beds and (1) full size bed.
 also (1) roll out full size bed, sleeps up to (8).

Please a maximum of (8 - 9) people are allowed to stay in the main house.

SECOND HOME/GUEST HOUSE

Is approx. 750 SF with small kitchen/living room area, (2) bedrooms both with queen size beds one in each room, a bathroom and large ceramic 4' by 4' shower. (1) pull out sofa bed, (2) TV's with cable, newer ceramic/carpet flooring, & newer windows. New cement patio with table and (4) chairs

Please a maximum of (4-6) people are allowed to stay in the guest house.

Basically, everything you will need in both homes to enjoy yourself have been supplied.
We do supply (1) set of sheets for each bed and bath towels.

Property has 50 feet of private waterfrontage and is 300' deep with a 100 foot boat dock

Our place includes a paddle boat, picnic table, fire pit, lounge chairs, horse shoes and barbeque grill are all available for your personal use.

Many renters bring their own boats and either tie up to our dock or use our permanent boat mooring.

A few of our renters have rented a boat or pontoon for the day, at either the local marina (walking distance) or north/south state park.

We have a boat ramp at the end of our street for your use. There is room on the property for storage of your boat trailer.

Our property has a long nice ashphalt driveway for all of your cars and toys.

We do charge a standard $150 basic cleaning fee. This service consists of: changing bed linens (including washing all bed linens), cleaning bathrooms, wiping down all floors, light dusting, and vacumming. The kitchen basically needs to be left in the same condition as received.

If additional cleaning becomes necessary, you will be responsible for any additional fees. 

All we ask that you take care of the place and keep them clean so we can have you back.  

Each year our goal is only 5-7 good weekly renters. 

We already have a several bookings for 2013.

Only looking for 2 more renters and our goal this year will be met!!!

We want to also enjoy the place.

Every year our rental goal is achieved rather quickly.

We are located in a great spot, walking distance to a grocery store,
hardware store, gift shops, boat marina, bank & antique store.

North Higgins Lake State Park- 10 min.

South Higgins Lake State Park- 10 min.

West Higgins Lake Boat Launch- 5 min.

Sharps Corner IGA- 5 min ( gas and some grocery)

Houghton Lake- 20 min  ( gas, grocery and numerous fast food places)

Grayling -20 min. ( gas, grocery and fast food)

Roscommon- 15 min. go to Fred's for good food bowling for Fun 

Roscommon County boasts the most miles of maintained ORV trails in the state! Orv/snomobile trailhead within 5 miles of home. 

There are many golf courses within a 30 minute drive from our place.

Forest Dunes Golf Course, The Quest, The Ye Old Country Club, The Dream, The Nightmare, Fox Run, Burning Oak Country Club.

The Au Sable River is a fly-fisherman's paradise. Come fish the natural beauty of the Mason Tract's "Holy Waters", as referred to by the locals!  There are numerous places to rent canoes/kayak's/Tubing right on the river.

Our Standard Security Deposit is:     $ 1,200.00

Standard Basic Cleaning Fee is:        $   150.00

PLEASE NOTE:

In order to lock in your reservation, a good faith deposit of   $ 1,200  

is due upon the signing of our standard rental agreement.

Balance outlined above is due in full at least 30 days prior to your arrival.

Rates subject to change at anytime, lock in and book early. 

No rentals are permitted to anyone under 21 years of age.

Standard Cancellation Policy

No refunds will be issued for any reason including any early departures, weather conditions,or emergencies. If for what ever reason you are not able to fulfill your commitment and we are able to reschedule your reserved vacation week for that summer season, we will do so applying 100% of your rental fee paid that will be forwarded to that week. If we are not able to reschedule based on availability, no rental fees paid will be refunded and only your security deposit if already paid will be 100% refunded.
