Morning-Glory Guest House in Parksville

Morning-Glory is a designer decorated Arbutus cottage in the Oceanside Village Resort.   This cottage has all the amenities and from the moment you arrive, this feels like home.  The welcoming bottle of wine along with the cuddly terry robes are there for you to begin relaxing the moment you arrive.  

Designed with the outdoors in mind, the cottage has two bedrooms.  The windows let in the glorious sunshine and the comfortable design of the cottage encourages rest, relaxation and rejuvenation.  Original artwork by Louise Parrack adorn the walls and is available for purchase.

The kitchen has a sensible and pleasing design. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessities - including patio glassware, dishes, pots and pans, toaster, coffee maker, blender, mixer and placemats.  In keeping with the nature theme on the floor and backsplash, the beauty of the wood stained shaker cabinetry compliments the warm golden and russet tones of the rest of the cottage.  

The dining room table comfortably seats four and there are extra chairs in the master bedroom to seat an additional two guests.  Imagine playing board games at the dining table or planning the next day’s excursion in this beautiful part of the world. The eating bar has two stools. 

The living room has a sofa bed, TV with DVD player, VCR and a stereo.  It opens onto the sunny deck which has patio furniture and a barbecue for those who enjoy outdoor meals.  The vaulted pine ceiling in the living and dining room gives a wonderful light and airy feel to this cottage. The ceiling fan and gas fireplace are there to ensure you are comfortable whatever the weather.  Watch the TV (cable included) or videos/DVD’s or curl up with a book.  A supply of games, puzzles and dvd's provide hours of entertainment.

The master bedroom has it’s own TV and DVD player.  The bed is a very comfortable queen size.  The second bedroom has a double bed.  Warm terry robes are supplied for the adults and each bed has a down duvet. A tub and a separate shower adorn the bathroom and all towels are supplied..  

 The cottage is also equipped with local telephone and high speed secured wireless internet access.

The complex sports a pool, hot tub, exercise room and the beach is a short 10 minute walk away.  For beach days, we supply beach chairs, towels and sand castle building equipment.  Adjacent to the complex is Riptide Lagoon Miniature Golf where the kids and young at heart can spend many enjoyable hours.  You're just minutes from the centrally-located Community Park, loaded with activities for all ages and it's expansive beach. A varied mix of shops, cafes, grocery and specialty stores make up the Parksville shopping district just minutes away. After a day of walking, hiking, swimming, biking, golfing or shopping, indulge yourself at the Tranquil Moments Day Spa & Salon on site, or sit back and relax with a cup of imported green tea or freshly made sushi or baked goods from Sakura Cafe. For dining purposes, we have other fine restaurants that are within a short drive of your cottage.
