I can't say enough incredible things about our vacation. My husband and I plus 4 other couples rented the Key Lime for a week, March 19-26, 2011. We are seasoned travelers that have been vacationing together for about 8 years. We are all middle-aged (38-54), blue collar folks who enjoy everything from golfing to hanging out at the beach. We normally cruise or indulge in all-inclusive resorts, but this time around we were looking to keep costs down. This was a perfect choice. The reservation process was seamless; we made it several months in advance and paid in full at that time. Sarah was always very prompt in returning emails and never appeared to tire of my endless questions. The house itself is very nice; updated with beautiful decor. You can see minimal evidence of less respectful tenants; for example, one of the closet doors is broken, bathroom hooks are missing and a clock had been broken (we tried to replace the batteries). I suspect the Ladners are unaware of these items or they would have been repaired promptly just as the battery charger on the golf cart was while we were there. Speaking of the golf cart, what a life saver and fun addition. The grown men were worse than any kid I could imagine; they would run from the front porch yelling "shot gun." We ladies would just roll our eyes and laugh. I am running out of space so I will make a few last recommendations. Pompano Joe's, which also served as our beach access had the best burgers and HUGE margaritas. Definitely eat at the Back Porch and McGuire's Irish Pub. Hogs Breath was a good place for souvenirs. We took an air boat tour which was great fun and golfed at several area courses; Indian Bayou was my favorite. When booking golf, check on-line; the rates are usually cheaper. Lastly, thank you very much Trevor and Sarah for sharing your wonderful home with us. We will return without a doubt. Our kids will love this place! Phil and Becki Dow, IL
