Our house is located on a 4 acre wooded lot in Pike County. It is a
beautiful secluded lot with lots of wildlife. A raised covered porch
wraps around half of the house to provide a comfortable place to sit
and view the property.

The house has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, full kitchen, wrap
around porch, 6 person hot tub, laundry closet, and recreation area in the basement, including a pool table, fooseball, and air hockey, and a sitting area with sofa bed.
The master bedroom has a queen bed, the second has a Queen, the
third has a set of bunk beds and a full, and the 4th has a Queen. The room with the bunks
has a small tv with dvd player. There is also a tv in the family room
and basement with satellite. Main room also features a sofa bed and fire place.
Kitchen is fully stocked with flatware, cookware and utensils, and
has a dishwasher.

We are conveniently located about 3 miles from SkyTop Lodge, about 15 minutes from Alpine Ski Area,
about 25 minutes from Camelback Mountain/Water Park and The Crossings
Outlet stores, and the new Mt. Airy Casino is about 20 minutes.
Beautiful Promised Land State Park is 4 miles away,
and offers a lake for swimming and various water activity rentals.
Lake Wallenpaupack is about 20 minutes away, and offers some of the
best fishing in Pennsylvania. There are also several riding stables
near by.

Perfect Family Getaway Place

This was such a fantastic place to stay. We wanted a place to get away with our family (6 adults, one baby). It was so perfect for us. There was plenty of room to spread out. They even provided us with a pack 'n play for the baby. The house was comfortable and very cozy. We made use of the jacuzzi and the fire pit outside. Even saw a mama bear and her cubs while we were having smores outside!
We saw so many deer that we lost count and had a great time watching for them.
The owner was quick to respond to emails and very accommodating to the things we needed.
We love that the place is just a quick little drive over to Promised Land State Park. It was so convenient and close enough to Canadensis that it was easy to drive in to go to the store or Callie's Candy Kitchen and even to the Crossings.
We would definitely stay here again!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Honestly, we only rented this property because it was the only one left for the New Years Holiday weekend. We're all easy going people, and our biggest concern was to be together for the weekend and this home was big enough and not to mention cheap (inexpensive) enough for all of us to stay.
But oh my goodness, we we ever blown away when we walked into the door. The home is soo cozy, w/ a beautiful rustic stone fireplace, huge kitchen w/ a dinning table to fit all. The kitchen was completely stocked and ready for our new years feast. The bedrooms were very comfortable, we all slept very well. The jacuzzi was definitely put to good use after our day of snowboarding and skiing, most of us first timers so we were pretty badly beat up. Another surprise for us was the pool table, basketball game, and air hockey table...oh and tons of board games. And there was this awesome looking tree house, but it was way too cold... and we were way too big to fit (but that's beside the point)
To top this place off the owners are very nice people. Booking the place was seemless and Mark was always available to answer any questions we had before, during, and after our stay.
It's not only us that loved this place. There was a guest book that I looked through and it was filled compliments from people all over the world, many of them regulars!!

Canadensis: very tiny town, but cute in it's own way. The city is just a short drive away. The skiing there was a lot of fun. There is a huge outlet plaza for good shopping. Lots of restaurants and even a casino. The only thing that caught us off guard is that beer is only sold in the Bars!! And hard liquor is sold in separate stores, which were all closed for the holiday. Next time we'll be a bit more prepared.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing
