Private Vacation Village Only Steps from Poipu Beach in Poipu Beach

Only a minute's walk from the ocean at Poipu Beach, Hale Pohaku is a
private compound available for family vacations, destination weddings,
family reunions and other
events. Our four individual homes are located on a half-acre, leaving
a large central yard for receptions, parties, and even weddings. We
have a pool just for our guests, and charge no additional fees for
holding events on the property.
We can accommodate up to 28 people. Cribs, high chairs and twin
rollaway beds are available at no extra charge.
With three 2 bedroom/1 bath cottages and the 5 bedroom/3 bath
Manager's House, Hale Pohaku offers families individual privacy but
within an intimate village compound shared only with family and
friends. While
we're located within the very center of Kauai's famous Poipu Beach
resort area, our fully modernized and renovated plantation homes from
the 1940s and fifties create an atmosphere of "old Hawaii"
tranquility.

WiFi service is free of charge for our guests.
Each of the cottages and Manager's House has a full kitchen complete
with gas range, full sized dishwasher, refrigerator, washer, and
dryer. Small appliances available include mixers, blenders, toasters,
coffee bean grinders, thermal carafe coffeemakers, irons (and ironing
boards) and hair dryers. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, liquid
hand soap and dishwashing liquid are provided, along with all towels,
linens, pots and pans, dishes, and tableware.
Four large outdoor barbeques help with large family dinners, and the
extensive screened lanai of the Manager's House is perfect for dining
al fresco.
Our pool is a level depth which is easier for our younger guests. We
have a collection of pool and beach toys, sand chairs and unbrellas
available at no extra charge. Each cottage has its own outdoor sand
shower, and all bathrooms feature handheld showers.

Hale Pohaku is within a five minute drive of all of the Poipu Resort
area's adventure activities. Sailing, fishing, snorkeling, scuba
diving, windsurfing, bodysurfing, surfing, and swimming are all within
a short walk or drive.
From November through April, Poipu is also a great place for watching
the humpbacked whales that travel here to have their young. The
beaches at Poipu Beach Park are also known for sitings of our
endangered monk seals, sea turtles, and dolphins.

We have a minimum reservation period of 2 nights.
For 2 to 6 nights, the nightly rate is $1,375 plus tax.
For seven nights or more, the nightly rate is $1,275 plus tax.
Cleaning fee: $900 plus tax
Refundable Damage Deposit: $1,000
The total for seven nights, including all taxes, cleaning fee and
refundable security deposit is $11,881.75. Excluding the refundable
security deposit, that comes to less than $60 per person per night.
