vacation rental description
This Santa Fe style house sits atop a hillside overlooking the
Manuel Antonio coastline to the West and the Talamunca Range (with 6,000 ft
Mt San Geronimo towering over the valley) to the North. The jungle
comes right up to the pool, and it's often possible to see two
species of monkeys, iguanas, sloths, and many species of birds while
lounging around the pool or from the many decks. There are over 3,000
sq.ft of living space, with decks that surround most of the two
stories. The entire space can be opened up to give the feel of
living in the outdoors with three quarters of an acre of mature gardens,
with hundreds of tropical plants, orchids and fruit trees. The
upstairs is an open living space that includes kitchen,
dining, living room and TV area, and also a bathroom. Downstairs are three bedrooms
(one w/king, one queen, and one with a queen and bunkbeds) all
with fans, and access to the lower patio and pool. There is one bath
downstairs with and extra sink and there are also two outside
showers.
Unlike so many other houses crowded together near noisy roads,
and bar restaurants, this property is secluded, yet 5 minutes drive
to the happening town of Quepos or 5 minutes drive to the
magnificant beaches of Manuel Antionio Nat. Park. You can walk to the main road,
where there are a dozen restaurants within a quick stroll.
From the roof terrace you can watch spectacular sunsets over the ocean
or enjoy a 360 degree view of the jungle vistas. Breezes blow all day and at night switch
directions and come off the mountains to keep this house comfortable
day and night. The house is fully equiped with everything you need
for your stay. Quepos has wonderful fresh produce, fish, meat and
chicken as well as a growing selection of wines and liquors, so you
can stay at home and cook or ask Anna our caretaker to cook "tico
style" meals for your group breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is
twice a week maid service and laundery, but you can request
additional cleaning and laundery from Anna. Security is provided by
the on site caretakers who live in a seperate house at the entry to
the property. They have been with us since 2000 and can provide cooking, babysitting, help w/ tours and transportation or any other requests that come up.
This house was built by local residents in the mid 90's to the
highest standards and reflects their experience of living in Costa Rica over
11 years. Much of the art is by the owner and other artists living
in the area. The gardens are a work of love and care by the couple and
entice you to take walks in the lush greenery. This is the perfect retreat for friends and families. We try to make our rates as reasonable as possible knowing that a vacation can be big expense-- we want you to return and send your friends!
