Villa Helena is a recently renovated 3 bedroom house right on the
white sandy beach of Chuburna.This fishing town of 5500 people
boasts the best and widest beach on the north Yucatan coast.The
backyard is huge and fully fenced for your privacy.There is a large
covered terrace on the beachside for you to have a party,relax and
watch the waves,cruise ships that sail by and the dolphins.Hot
water,fully furnished,2 full bathrooms,3 queen size beds and
hammocks can be provided at reasonable price.New kitchen appliances
and full security on windows and doors.
We own 4 beach front houses in this area all close to each other and
we rent them out.So if you are planning a wedding or other party we
have the place and accommodations for you and your guests.Under
those circumstances a special discount will be applied.All 4 houses
are listed on this site.Look for them.We can arrange catering if
needed.

Chuburna is a fishing town of 5500 people just 5 minutes west of
Chelem and 15 minutes west of Progreso.Merida is 40 minutes
away.Golf course is about 20 minutes away.A rented car is nice to
drive yourself around this fabulous area but public transport is
available.Chuburna has a few small shops for your daily needs and a
few seafood restaurants.Merida is the capital city of Yucatan and
has 1 million people.It has all the major department stores such as
Walmart,Costco,Staples,MacDonalds etc as well as local Mexican
stores and beautiful colonial buildings.Progreso is the harbour town
and has 50000 people.It boasts a 1 km boardwalk lined with fine
restaurants and shops.Cruise ships dock here and there is a pier
that projects 7 kms into the ocean making it the longest pier in the
world.This part of Mexico is very friendly with a family atmosphere
and virtually devoid of crime.The ocean is great for swimming,
snorkeling, fishing,boating etc.
Enjoy your private beach and sunbathe or play beach Volley-Ball.The
beach is long and wide and plenty of exploring for you to do.Petra
is a very nice Mexican lady who speaks English and Spanish and is
your caretaker.She is always eager to help and can be reached 24/7
on her cell phone.

Enjoy a relaxed lifestyle on the beach.Play golf at the excellent
golf course 20 minutes away.Go on a boat ride and do some fishing as
Petra can arrange it for you.Watch the dolphins and the Flamingoes
right from your porch.Enjoy fresh seafood and Petra will get the
fishermen to come right to your doorstep if you ask her.Enjoy the
coconuts in the backyard.Merida comes to life every Saturday night
with singing and dancing in the downtown streets till 4 am.Watch and
enjoy it all while sitting in one of the open air restaurants or
bars on the side of the street.Visit the Mayan Pyramids at Chitzen
Itza as this has recently been declared one of the seven wonders of
this world.Visit the Cenotes which are underground caves with
crystal clear water for you to bathe in.See Chixulub the site of the
giant meteor that hit earth millions of years ago and ended the
dinosaur dynasty.Food and drinks are really cheap.

September to June: $400 USD/week or $1400 USD/month
July to August: $700 USD/week or $2300 USD/month
Credit Cards are accepted and so is payment through Paypal.
$50.00 deposit to secure your reservation and the balance is payable
anytime before your stay.Upon receipt of your booking request I will
email you an invoice which you can pay by credit card or Paypal.When
this deposit is received our website calendar will reflect your
booking.Petra, our caretaker, will ask you for $200 damage deposit
when she shows you into your house and she will return that money to
you at the time of your departure.
Getting There:Easy as you just fly to Houston and from there it is a
short 90 minute fly to Merida airport.Then rent a car at the airport
as driving around the city is easy.The roads are numbered East to
West in even numbers and North to South in odd numbers.The drive to
Chuburna is 35 minutes.Alternatively you can take a taxi ride to
Chuburna.
